It isn't as fast as my MR2, but it puts a smile on my face each time I drive it. It gets great gas mileage and looks good. Cheap insurance ($50/mo full coverage... and I a only 25) and plenty of aftermarket.

It is going in to the dealer in a few days to get a new ECU and high pressure fuel pump. My pump is a bit noisy, and Scion released a TSB on them, and I wanted my DRL disabled which isn't possible on my current ECU, so they ordered the latest revision for me. xlagman10-09-2012, 02:02 AMI just picked her up a month ago and this is what she looked like at first!!!

RaginBull on here gave me alot of inspiration for my exterior upgrades... only other painted T-Top I've ever seen. Fell in love with it mainly due to the tops.

I agree and I was looking to buy a set a few months ago. As of then, they were discontinued in the US even though they were still listed for sale publicly. As of then, all 5 Zigen rims were discontinued in the US actually.

There was still some stock at some stores, but there were no more 17x8 35mm / 17x9 35mm sets available. So if you find out otherwise, please post here somewhere! Chevarian11301-28-2013, 12:52 PMYeah, they are no more. I troll various forums, so I keep an eye out for clean used ones. A shop in MD is making some that look very similar- forged, lightweight, but made more for the FR-S at 17x9 and 9.5 +42. I don't want that wide. I'm going to see if they will make some at 7/8.

Its actually the perfect specs to clear the struts! Im on bc coils and didnt remove any collars yet! I set my preload pretty stiff tho. And my front tires r 215/40 and rear r 215/45. I want to go 225/45 rear tho. And yea i slightly pulled my fenders and rolled of course. Probably an overasked question for you, but how does the FRS's handling compare to the deuce? My older brother is graduating college this semester and has been looking into one of those. deucethemoose03-25-2013, 12:15 AMThe FRS definitely handles better than the MR2 even when in stock form, but mine goes a bit further now that I have KW V3's installed and dialed some camber in all around. Sticks to the road even with Prius tires.

I purchased it from a small lot used dealer in Kentucky about 2 weeks ago. I live in TN and just got emissions/registration/tag done here just outside Nashville.
Passed emissions first try with room to spare.

Here's how it was done:

* Parked underneath a street lamp (though not directly underneath to avoid a giant pole in the bg)
* Changed the white balance to warm flourescent
* Did a 30 second exposure, f29, ISO 100. On a tripod and a 10 second shutter release.
* The original photo was much brighter and you can actually see the road, house in the background as well as the entire car.
* imported the photo into Lightroom. Cropped it. Bumped up the black, vibrance, clarity, contrast. Cloned out the little artifacts and water streaks, light reflections of the turn signals, door handle, gas lid.
* once it I got it dark enough that it only showed the silhouette, I raised the fill light.

I actually took some shorter exposures that weren't as bright (15 seconds, f29, ISO 100), but that also meant that the silhouette weren't as visible, so I went with the brighter image and darkened it instead of using the darker image and making it brighter.

Thanks for the compliment I guess, lol. Not a photoshop though. That's a RAW file shot on a Canon DSLR from a tripod with professional lens, post-processed in Adobe Camera Raw (You HAVE to post process raw photos). It's the same process professional automotive photographers like Jason Siu, Josh Mackey, and other well known ones use. That's also not an HDR shot image, and it's not been processed in photoshop. All that image data is from one single exposure. I made sure to expose the image so that none of the highlights or shadows were clipped, vs a standard HDR shot where a photographer has to use 3 or more different images to capture all the data (and then combine them in photoshop or an HDR program). I've been practicing exposing the image to capture the data with no clipping for years. Have to shoot in RAW though. Jpeg is a waste. Photoshop wouldn't do crap to the raw image file. You have to do it in Lightroom, ACR or a similar product (I perfer ACR over lightroom, I hate lightroom's layout). Knowing how to shoot and post process is why a photographers pictures look better than junk shot in .jpeg. ACR/Lightroom is different from image manipulation or standard HDR processing. It's just standard post-processing of a raw image, which is different from something like HDR pro, photoshop, etc where you are manipulation an image with parts which were not part of it to begin with. All the image data is there in raw, so you're not manipulating it like photoshop. It's all real data the camera's image sensor saw, not fake photoshop effects. Jpeg throws the data away, so it's gone forever. In RAW, if you expose it right it's all still there. You can bring it back in the post processing, which you have to do to a RAW image file. They aren't readable otherwise. It's basically to the digital world what a negative was to the film world: a raw format which needs to be make usable. A jpeg is more like a Polaroid, the camera processes everything in house, does the sharpening, color profiling, etc and throws the rest of the data away. The end results often colors are seriously washed out. Also, if the white balance is done you're screwed to a certain extent. In RAW, it throws away nothing. You have the RAW image the camera's sensor saw. Since the Camera doesn't process the raw, you have to (some high end cameras process raw, but that defeats the point). You have to have the right software to process RAW though, or it's useless. A camera can only focus on one exposure, unlike our eyes. If it properly exposes for one (the highlights, lowlights, regular light) it'll blow out the rest. You have the meter the shot so no data is lost, the correct the RAW shot all in ACR. That's really just a learned skill. The upshot if you are good, is it can bring back parts of a picture you can see which are normally lost in photography. I've taken shots of Hoover dam just after sunset, and been able to catch the Dam, the canyon walls and lake in back. Normally, you'd just see one or the other. I've been able to shoot directly into the sun over the Pacific and get it to turn out as I saw it. It's just all practice and learning. You have to think it terms of RAW and not jpeg when your shooting and shoot differently. Most people can't. @builtgreed-they are custom made with 2 sets of driving lights, mounted to underside of headlight covers, double-relayed. bright and full pattern :D

@dub-i'm not obsessed with stance like many dudes i know, but i need to toughen up the rear with some 9" wide rims/crash bolts/tweaks.
