this is just to show, that as a toyota family, just because of the name we're just not only corollas, alot of us have upgraded to other toyo's and still repping hard, that's why i share it on here to attract more mr2's to join us.as you can tell myself, a couple lexus's liek the sc400, paseo with starlet boosted motor, tercel fully built starlet motor, a couple v6 camry's(some supercharged), etc. Our biggest event is this weekend at sibling rivalry(toyota/lexus/scion) show in jacksonville. Alwayss been my dream to own one and now I need advice. The mr2 I got came nice aesthetically but the clutcb squealled whenever everyone told me I needed a new clutch. When I got under the car, I noticed whoever did engine work on the car forgot to bolt on some bolts on to the bell of the transmission. The reason the car didebt clutch was because the transmission was 1/4 of an inch separated from the engine. I tightened two bolts and the care ran perfect after. The next day I changed and tightened all of the bolts under the car. The car runs great now. Just some small instrument panel problems such as speedometer, temp, and gas gauges not working. Parking brake is for some reason disconnected, and some small overheating issues. ( hopefully fixed. Car had no thermostat and fan fuse blown). Again, car looks and runs great now, but last owner left me with crappy wheels (hubcap type with no hubcaps lol) and took the radio with all the speakers.
I'm getting some extra cash next week, I was thinking I would get either a radio or new. ekms. What would you buy first? First thing i had to do was polish the sivler, sand to bare metal the rusted oem one, and paint it up with 2 different color to get that mustard yellow color,also changed up the battery terminal

After you wash the whole engine bay, down, blow everything if you have a compressore, wipe down with a towel, and spray wd40. sorry for being a bit late on the pics, i did have someone do the photography for me so i did have to wait for him to make a photobucket and upload pics, anyways thanks to everyone that came out, this meet was to invite mr2 guys around s.fl to introduce them to a mini ccc meet and take some good pics, originally we were going to go down to the beach and to the top floors of a garage to do some photoshoots, but it got late, either way met some new people and got some great pics at towers. I do want to say the celica with the jdm conversion was just puuuuure sexx, finally got to see it in person, and the tercel you see in the pics, is not the same tercel thats fully built that we brought to our barbq meet at the manmade hill, so thats good now theres two twin tercels. Abraham, good choice on smaller n gold wheels, green corolla love your taste and putting some offset on them wheels, all it needs is a 3sgte, gino wash your car, and for the rest thank you for coming out.

Just got the ECU installed and was looking to get it dyno tuned when I found out the cash I'd saved went to a couple of vet bills. It starts, and is drivable on the base tune. Its just really rich. Depends on the problem with the pump. If the pump is weak then it can run but not well. The pumps are kind of a pita to replace but luckily the 87 has a drain plug so that helps a lot. The fact that it only has 62000 miles on it is kind of appealing, and from the pictures, it looks pretty good. From what I've read, changing the fuel pump seems a little obnoxious, but not impossible despite my lack of hands on experience.
