these are some videos from the Windy City Miata Club on 8/3/14 at Boomer's Stadium in Schaumburg, IL. i managed to get in the 57.xx range with a cone. the whole time was a BLAST and i cant wait to get out there again.

I really should be seeing even higher G readings than I am I think, but it was my first event on Hoosiers and it will probably take a couple of events to get used to them. And yes, the 2GR really is pretty ideal for an autocross or track car.

In my experience it's very rare that shifting to 1st on an autocross course is beneficial, unless it's a *really* slow corner. Usually if I am tempted to shift down for a corner, I find that if I just focus on my driving, by the end of the day I am carrying so much more speed through that particular corner that I no longer feel the need to shift.
