Come on bitch. Why do I always do everything Lmao!
Na, but that's every v6 Toyota/Lexus I can think of.

*edit* correction. mr2greasemonkey09-25-2006, 08:08 PMKinda outdated but good info anyways.

Maybe you need to get out a little more :ugh:

-nathan:D Node09-26-2006, 12:12 AMIndeed, thats quite a list.

Nice work though! Weasy2k09-26-2006, 01:11 AMThanks man thats PERFECT!!

Now onto standalone harness making@!#!#! conor09-26-2006, 01:20 AMCamry 1MZs were not VVTi until 2001 or 2002. Weasy2k09-26-2006, 01:22 AMarg dont start throwing in curveballs! :P Oteck09-26-2006, 07:37 AMcamrys here never got vvti till it got the 3mz and thats till 05 canadam09-26-2006, 09:28 AM...the Sienna did but the Camry didn't... ?

camrys here never got vvti till it got the 3mz and thats till 05 Toysrme09-26-2006, 10:53 AMCamry 1MZs were not VVTi until 2001 or 2002.
Thanks for reminding me. They stayed 194bhp until '03 when they got the vvt-i 1mz. Sometimes I brain fart & forget that Camry's don't get things when ES's do. Weasy2k09-26-2006, 11:43 AMwow the 1mz has been classified as the most confusing engine....

5vz...3vz....same power...same setup....yar! Toysrme09-26-2006, 12:50 PMTo make it more confusing California Emessions ECU's are slightly different in spots. On top of that, unlike the Federal emessions versions, the CA emession cars recieve emessions changes on a yearly, to BI yearly basis.

They're crazy. Weasy2k09-26-2006, 01:37 PMyea ihave seen the ecu
example in 98 they have a engine control diagram...then they have option for non cali
and an option for cali...dunno what the diff between 3 ecu diagrams are yet but i have t o go through them all conor09-26-2006, 03:28 PMYeah.. Lexus cars got the high-end engines first..

And yes, CA ECUs are wacky, too. CA ECUs should be the same from 1997-1999, and then changed in MY2000 when they updated the vac systems.. Weasy2k09-26-2006, 03:39 PMugh...friggen irritating! Im sure i can see it in the wiring diagrams so i can package the right ecus to the years/cars erioshi10-06-2006, 07:23 AMAvalons also seem to have their own specific ECUs. I can't offer an authoritative description of what the differences are, but they don't share part numbers with the other units.

Also didn't the Avalons use a slightly different intake (or some such) at one point? I know the comparable Avalon is generally rated with a few more HP than a Camry from the same year. No idea why though. Oteck10-06-2006, 07:38 AMdepends on the year, if you look up top it got vvti much earlier than the other v6's. not as early as the es and rx in 98 though Weasy2k10-06-2006, 11:03 AMIll have it all sorted out soon enough...i have to go through every year ecu pin out :) Powered by vBulletin® Version 4.2.5 Copyright © 2026 vBulletin Solutions Inc.
