View Full Version : Mk1 4AGe water bypass pipe

NightCelica04-06-2013, 12:50 PMI'm looking for a good used water bypass pipe (thermostat to front head) or the part# or a place where I can buy a non-OEM.

Thank You! mysc1204-06-2013, 03:19 PMIs this the same part as a 4agze? If so I have one NightCelica04-06-2013, 10:07 PMThank You, but it shows to be different in the Repair manual. Since the 4AGZE did not have TVIS, the pipe could be run straighter.

Thanks mr2tim04-08-2013, 06:19 PMNightCelica? I can identify with you bro I have Celica mirrors on my car.

Gonna run some pictures by you to make sure we are discussing the same part.

Here are 3 Water Inlet Pipes they connect to the water pump-they have a 1/4in nipple on the back for a water by pass hose.

This photo shows the Water Outlet Pipe (which darn it won't you know another water-by-pass nipple) the upper one is the one for the SC cars which is straight and the yellow one below which has a dip down to clear the TVIS as you noted.

I'll do the yellow pipe for $15. I'll ask for $20 for shipping if it's less I will send the balance back to you via Paypal (super easy).
You can connect to Paypal at mister2tim@yahoo.com to make this deal. I will reply with shipping info upon posting in the mail.

Hope this helps you.

Being that today is 4-30 can I assume you rec'd the pipe?

Tim NightCelica04-30-2013, 09:13 PMYes I received the pipe a week or two ago, I thought I had made the clear in a earlier email. Anyway, it was exactly what I needed, but I've lazy when it comes to the MR2 as I have yet to strip the yellow paint and apply the POR15 to it. it always take time, just time. mr2tim06-07-2013, 04:56 PMNot to mention it's not exactly easy to get to either. (Unless you have rubber monkey arms.) NightCelica06-09-2013, 06:06 PMIts not so bad, once you place the rear on blocks, removed the exhaust, Alt, Alt bracket and do not mind working on your back :). I'm looking froward to back on the MR2, now that I have some parts to work with, but the last few days I was off it had do nothing but rain and drop trees (one tree and a huge bunch of Honeysuckle), so no work on the MR2, but I did get to work on the bike's tank and that is starting to look good. The weather channel says Tuesday is the next day without rain, but I have to cut the field my yarn has turned into, cut up and remove said tree and Honeysuckle, some of which has vines 6" inches thick. Well some time before July 4th I should get to work on the MR2 :) Powered by vBulletin® Version 4.2.5 Copyright © 2026 vBulletin Solutions Inc. All rights reserved.
