View Full Version : voltage gauge into turbo car?

flyingbrick07-22-2006, 05:04 AMHi all.

I'm gonna put this in here because all them other fkrs arent worthy.

My car was origionally a GT, so has the boost gauge middle of the cluster- however its done zilch nudda nothing for the past year ( pulled hose to the boost sensor.... im HARCORE ).

Just sent away for a white-face gauge set which appears to be NA style with the voltage meter up there where i have my boost gauge.

I have a spare turbo cluster to play with. Here are the questions.

How hard is it to wire the na's voltage gauge into turbo mr2 wiring systems.

Where does it take its signal from- Is it from the ecu or does it work like its own little self contained multimeter taking a simple voltage reading straight off the acc switch or something.

Just trying to work out if it will be easy enough to get going and if it will work with the v6 gear.

Thanks all,

Nathan. Weasy2k07-22-2006, 11:35 AManything with 12v will tell you the voltage :) clock power source....dash power source...whatever :) keep in mind where the gauge takes it power from will change the reading becuase of ohms law and blah blah blah...nothing to worry about.
