Node built mine into the engine bay. One more reason for the average folks to stare. Mister2.206-21-2006, 01:29 AMHow is the fitment so far and where did you purchase the kit from? killer206-21-2006, 10:45 AMthe fitment is good, minor cutting, i bought it from a person in florida,
yeah i was planning on putting the gas filler on the side peices next to the engine bay lid. chuck06-21-2006, 04:37 PMI dunno, something about the engine bay fillers scares me, haha...like i'm blow up me, my car and the whole gas station...I did the sparco cap on the side of mine, others use motorcycle gas caps but IMHO they're just a little too small. The diameter of the sparco cap is EXACTLY the same as a standard computer/music CD...makes for a pretty easy and clean install...I went from the big hole in the side 1/4 to my current set-up with only about an hours worth of labor. I can give you a step by step for the install if you'd like...

or you can stick with the engine bay, you're car, you're money, you're design...not trying to step on toes killer206-21-2006, 09:07 PMthat looks pretty good, i might do that, it all depends on my wife though Dance_Business06-21-2006, 11:17 PMNot steppin' on my toes, Chuck. I didn't design it. I just like it. As for you killer2.. I expect that you will do as you see fit, with no guff from my non fabricating self.:zipit: Either way I am impressed with you doing the work. ween19106-22-2006, 07:21 AMchuck...are you doin a half wide body? Please say yes...I'm really curious to see one but I'm afraid to do it on my car. killer206-22-2006, 10:46 AMive seen a pic of the back wide and friont not, it looks kinda odd, like a fine chick with a JLo booty(sorry if any ladies are reading), but to each his own eh>

thanks for the support guys, i never take my duece to a shop, after this i might make a very detailed thread about it, i know theres one on MR2OC, but there are some open ends to it, but every writeup will. ill post pics as i get it into other stages.

do you guys think i should leave the trunk stock? later i will be putting a cf one on ween19106-22-2006, 11:08 AMWhats the difference between the stock trunk and the widebody trunk? I could never tell.

If you plan on going CF later on, I would wait to do that...no need to spend the extra money on body parts when you can put it towards performance.

Also, if you stumble across the pic of the half widebody, would you mind sending it my way? Thanks. chuck06-22-2006, 01:47 PMchuck...are you doin a half wide body? Please say yes...I'm really curious to see one but I'm afraid to do it on my car.

no half widebody for me...just thinking of it i don't think it'd look too awfully bad wide in the back and stock up front...i just don't know how you'd do the sideskirt pieces and make it all look like it came that way. ween19106-22-2006, 02:58 PMno half widebody for me...just thinking of it i don't think it'd look too awfully bad wide in the back and stock up front...i just don't know how you'd do the sideskirt pieces and make it all look like it came that way.

That is exactly what I am curious about. A lot of molding? :dunno: killer206-22-2006, 09:10 PMno half widebody for me...just thinking of it i don't think it'd look too awfully bad wide in the back and stock up front...i just don't know how you'd do the sideskirt pieces and make it all look like it came that way.
