rodd8809-27-2011, 11:32 AMThe only way that the latch lets go of the hood is if I pull out the entire cable (with the sleeve) and then the latch will release the lid. Any ideas as to how I can fix this?
I have searched, and i even PB Blasted the latch and cable but no luck.

A broken cable would sound like a sweet fix. I'll take a pic and post it up today if time allows. Ocatvios01-13-2012, 12:09 AMim havingn a similar problem. i have to pull the latch all the way multiple time and pop the trunk a bit to grab the lid to force it open.

did you ever find the fix? Zarek01-13-2012, 12:55 AM@ octavios oil the latch and hinges. also if your engine lid sits lower than the panels on each side, you need to twist the bump stops as if you were loosening a bolt and it will raise the lid, and the extra tension will make the lid want to pop up easier. rodd8801-13-2012, 08:51 AMNope, I never even had a chance to take the pics...
