TomsMR2     $ 0.00 tiny dots = dust specs. its a *****, its what ive been fighting most with home painting. you need to clean the HELL out of your entire work area.. wet it all down, mop the floors (even if its outside), and keep everything as clean as possible. TomsMR2     $ 0.00 if you used single stage.. yes.. if you used basecoat/clear coat.. you can attempt to sand them out, but you'll probably burn thru your clear and have to rebase/reclear. chuck     $ 0.00 Originally Posted by TomsMR2 if you used single stage.. yes.. if you used basecoat/clear coat.. you can attempt to sand them out, but you'll probably burn thru your clear and have to rebase/reclear. ditto, just be extra careful on the edges, i'd try to wet sand the flatter spots with some 800 on a block...durablocks are great and cheap, just get the thiner chalkboard eraser sized one, get you paper nice and wet and wet the bumper. you can use the block with the paper off as a squeege to easily see where the 'dings' are.....the edges, i like to do by hand, just kinda cup the paper then go with the flow, try to wrap around the hard body lines to avoid putting hard pressure on the edges, these are easy spots to sand through before you know it.

single stage/two stage...it's all the same procedure, two stage can just be a little more 'risky' at times. shimric     $ 0.00 well i figured it out. I used some of that mothers clay stuff. Came right out. I clear coated it already it's drying now. I have to use mothers clay stuff again tomorrow.
