tucky     $ 0.00 Injector limits Hi , new on this site but recognise a few guys on here.

I have a mk2 with a 1mz supercharged engine, I've upgraded to the fuel pump to a walbro. I have a 6 psi pulley to go on, will the standard injectors be able to handle this or will I have to put a set of supra injectors in?

Toysrme     $ 0.00 It's a yes & no answer. The answer is yes, but not well.
They're good for about 250-260bhp & Based on numerous 1mz-fe dyno's you're running the ragged limit on that.
Also, if you don't have any form of engine management, there is no way you're going to get good fuel control when you need it on the stock ECU, so expect to be running really lean. If all you have is a pump, then you need something ASAP before you destroy something.

*Add some form of management
*Add more fuel, be that fuel pressure, an extra injector, a v6 cold-start injector, or replace all the injectors.

Pretty much have to do both to keep everything in check over the long haul. It's not big deal, just something that has to be done ya know. AIM/Yahoo/ICQ - Toysrme257th

tucky     $ 0.00 Thanks for the reply. I have a fuel pressure regulator on. Looks like I'm gonna have to stick with the standard 4 psi, I can manage the injectors but can't afford to upgrade the ecu at the moment. Toysrme     $ 0.00 They changed a few times.
They started @ 240cc & the BEAMS eventually wound up getting the 260cc ones. Tho I'm tihnking it's really like, the same *size* injector, but @ 48-51psi instead of 41psi.

I just can't remember offhand. Ask on Solaraguy.com forums & say yous earched & couldn't find anything. (Because Solaraguy's searches are sucky ). AIM/Yahoo/ICQ - Toysrme257th

DaveMush     $ 0.00 do a search on the other board... I have a few threads discussing injectors in the 1mz....
The only ones who know for sure what they are rated at are Brad Bedell and Mike King... They both had them flow tested, cleaned and balanced...
But neither of them can find the paperwork.

Hi what form of management would you recommend, can a piggyback be used or does it have to be standalone? http://forums.twobrutal.com/garage_v..._vehicle&id=23 Reply With Quote 03-30-2006, 06:55 PM #10 Weasy2k View Profile View Forum Posts Private Message View Blog Entries What is an MR2? Weasy2k     $ 0.00 piggybacks work fine for what you are doing. I have a 5vz sueprcharged and have been running smt6 for 4 years now at 80k km

You can check out the all about piggybacks thread "here" Reply With Quote 03-31-2006, 01:51 PM #11 tucky View Profile View Forum Posts Private Message View Blog Entries No Skills Join Date Feb 2006 Posts 152 Thanks  3 Thanks  1 Thanked in1 Post Total Contributions For
