japan2va     $ 0.00 That crazy asian kid... Ok, not much too say. Im a half breed (asian american) college teenager with very little money, and huge dreams. I know my place here will be minimal at most because Im just a punk-a** teen with a car I dont deserve, but I have bought the car with my own money. I have earned everything Ive gotten, and i wouldnt expect anything more or less. I do plan to race it, but not until I do a lil work.
"a lil work":
Engine swap (3sgte, obviously.)
Greddy T67 turbo upgrade
full suspension (sway bars, springs, struts, etc.)
exterior bs
theres more, but who wants to hear about that...
My point being, I will earn my respect like any other man(or woman) here. I dont expect pity or disrespect because I am young. Hope I can find the info im looking for to hel pme along my way with these amazing cars...

japan2va     $ 0.00 re:pics fair enough, i have to clean her up, but ill have some up as soon as i can.....

Oh, and to explain my situation...(on why i had to buy it back from my friend....) I owned the mr2 for like a year or so. I had bought it from some shady guy who sold it to me for $2000. I had it for a while, did some maintanence and just when i started to save up some money...I sold it. I sold it because i was going to college, and i thought (wrong!) that i should get a larger, safer car that I could carry people and stuff around in. (obviously, the mr2 has enough room for only 2 people and 1 dead hooker.) And so, i was stuck with an 87' Mercedes Benz 300E. BAD IDEA!!! I missed my car so much. Then one day, the car gods looked mercifully down on me, and granted me my chance. My friend who i had sold it to messaged me. He said he would sell it back for $1800. I bought it, and now im looking to improve it. Im not doing too much engine wise until i can save up for the 3sgte. right now its the 5sfe. i have a set of 16 inch rims which i will sell and buy some 17s. It currently has a reverse glow gauge, improved headlights, tach, and some stupid ricer neons that my friend put inside. im taking them out, dont worry. i have to buy some springs so bad though....

so anyways, after all the bs. I have my car, and ill post more pics as soon as i can..... mr2slow4you     $ 0.00 You should consider the weight when going from the 16's to the 17's, the 17's will weigh more and the larger radius of the wheel will result in more rotational mass... which isn't something you want in the na mr2. japan2va     $ 0.00 Update, wow, i was off.... I cant believe this...
I finally got my car back from the "friend." And, wow. The clutch is gone, completely. I am in the prcess of replacing that. The interior is a F***in mess. He installed a tach on the passenger side next to the vents, which is ugly as hell. He had some reverse glow gauges installed, which need some adjustment. The seats are f***ed up, and the car in general, is a complete and total mess. I have alot of work to do. I need some help finding some stock parts for the car. I am going to do a complete and total restoration of my car and see if I can bring it to its former glory. What a sad day in the life of MR2s. I am looking for a dash, not a cover, the entire dash. a shifter assembly, (the plastic part and boot for the shifter, not the shift assembly itself.) carpets, and I am trying to avoid ebay, only because I want perfect parts, and you never know when shopping on ebay.I am going to replace the seats with racing seats and harnesses. The pedals with some more racing inspired ones, the wheel with a racing hub and wheel, and do some general restoration on the leather throughout the car. If anyone has any comments, suggestions, or anything to help me save this car, please let me know.

Help me save the car of dreams....
Thanks in advance

P.S.- the car actually has 17's, but I plan on sizing down to maybe a light 15, lemme know what you think.... Damn sorry to hear that. Check my sig for parts. Artur1976 on this board also parts cars out often and may have some things for you. Partznet is a good source to buy new stuff. Irontoad.com has shifter boots and the part number for the plastic shifter surround part is.... 58821-17030 ($27 on partznet.com)

Good luck with the restore and be sure to post some pictures along the way for us.
