Mar10     $ 0.00 Setup weights Here and there was many talks about engine weight negativity for a mid.engined car handling, but what would be the facts? Some people say it's good to add some kilos to mr2's center for better stability, but it's bad to gain it to cars tail.

Can we build some kind of engine setups aprox.weight chart?

Stock engines:
4AGE -
4AGZE -
3SGE -
3SGTE -
Stock g-boxes:
C-series boxes -
E-series boxes -

Stock V6:
VZ-series -
MZ-series -
GR-series -
V6 add-on's:
+ turbo setup -
+ twin-t setup -
+ supercharged setup -

Weasy2k     $ 0.00 you can go all out on teh wieght aspect if you want but between the MKII engines and possibilitys (V6 wise) you will be +/- 80lbs from stock
The crap i took out of the engine bay the 5vz wont need wieghs alot in its own which will negate the rest. Would be cool to see some numbers tho. Mar10     $ 0.00 If an american adult one - that scares me! (I have a story ->)
Just joking! No offence!

P.S. In my GT4 going with full tank(68 ltr.) is not that fun as with 30-40ltr., and nothing to talk about going with passengers.
As far it was not fun, when I almost burned my clutch doing power-slide with 120kg passenger in MR2.. God that was mad.. that smelly smoke... 8( Had to stop to cool the clutch! Also "1'nes" on my plate number looked like this - "/" - don't ask me why.. :/ So weight matters. mr2greasemonkey     $ 0.00 Proper weight distribution and suspension dynamics will affect handling more than shedding a few pounds. Most people are looking to better their power to weight ratio when they remove non-essential parts. Mar10     $ 0.00 Yup, removing non-essential parts is good for racing project, but for street we can't sacrifice safety and comfort issues.. or it's just me. So weight AND certainly suspension dynamics are both essential parameters, but for doing suspension work you need to know weight changes and so on.. it's a +/- game, if somewhere you gained something - somewhere else you loosed something. :/ That's what I wanted to tell..
