mr2tim     $ 0.00 Rent-a-racer? Have not gotten very serious offers on my 89 SC Time Trials competition prepared racecar , and am contemplating starting a mr2 racing school here in Ft Lauderdale/South Florida?

Anybody want to come down to South Florida for a supercharged race weekend with racing Saturday or Sunday or both?

2restomod     $ 0.00 Sounds like a great idea. But unfortunately AZ is a long way from FL. I always wondered why there wasn't a "Spec MR2" instead of a "Spec Miata" series? As much money as Toyota puts into racing you'd think that would have really taken off. www.msnusers.com/mr2projects

Gairloch     $ 0.00 Only problem with that idea is there isn't nearly as many MR2s in the US as there are Miatas. "Inside the car, the world beyond the driver's immediate horizon ceases to exist. Alone with the solitude of his desire, survival sense numbed by the speed, he's outrun the mediocrity of the outside world, slipped the shackles it tries to clamp on us all. He is running free, chased only by a fear of failure, for failure is to risk ejection into the real world." ~Mark Hughes

2restomod     $ 0.00 ^I don't know the production #'s but you're probably right. But I know that at the time they started thinking of some spec classes the Mr2 (MKI's) was just fading out of SCCA Class C and the Miata was just coming in. I just think a rear engined spec car would have been a lot "cooler" than the FWD Miata. IMHO. And even though there may have been "more" Miata's, there were "enough" Mr2's to make a class. www.msnusers.com/mr2projects
