AceX     $ 0.00 Under Construction This car is officially a money pit. I've already spent over $1000 on the fiberglass parts and custom work for them, and as of these photos, I have another $1000 or more in work done. The guys spent over 20hrs fitting the side skirts and front end.

Is a MK1 really worth it? you ask? Well, just imagine this car with metallic blue paint, and then you tell me...

BTW, ym fiberglass guys are dam good... You should have seen the crappy fitment before the work. They are worth every penny. Now I'm going to have to wait to put the stereo in, but thats alright with me. Reality is subjective... Mister2.2     $ 0.00 Looks good, but... In the second picture there looks like a gap between the door and the sideskirts, you can see about 3/8" of the black fender, should that be there? I would have thought that would be flush. AceX     $ 0.00 It has to be there in order to clear the door. The car had been hit on that side before I bought it, so the lines aren't quite *perfect*, but they are close. The car is not perfect. There are a lot of tiny things that I am going to have to live with because, as my father said, "I have to live in 'reality'"

I should be bondo-ing by this time next week. Lots of sanding to do also. I also need to make a bracket for the lower part of the rear bumper, because, if you look at it, the center section is slightly angled, so I need to make a bracket to hold it closer to the body.

O yeah, I almost forgot, the bolts and screws holding the kit to the car will not be visible, and body caulk will be used to fill the seems and tiny gaps where the kit and body meet. After it is sanded and painted, it chould look one-pieced together. Reality is subjective...
