My name is Gerrard White, but just about everyone I know calls me G for short...Kinda got sick of everyone pronouncing it wrong anyway...

I am 18 and currently reside in Chico, CA...Been here for about 8 years, don't ask why... ...I graduated high school at the ripe age of 17...I am a sophmore at CSU, Chico, and I plan to major in Mechanical Engineering with minors in Math and Physics...Once again...Don't ask me why...

My ride as of today is a 1992 Jeep Cherokee, which up until a few weeks ago, was running fine...I have "owned" an '89 CRX HF (long story), but gave it back after I ran out of money to pay it off...So needless to say, I am not new to the world of cars...

I have been searching for a car to buy (even though I had no money) for years...My original desire was for an Integra GS-R, but was way out of any attainable price range for me...Seems that Northern Cali import enthusiasts like to jack the F*** out of car prices...

I fell in love with STi's, but again, out of my range...About a month ago, I somehow heard about MR2s, and saw that the KBB value was not that bad, though people were selling them for 5k and up...My final choice was between a 91 MR2 Turbo and a 95 Eclipse GSX...I think it is obvious where my interest has landed ...

After talking to Brian (thank you man), and hearing that my mom had decided to give me $6000 for a car, I talked to Josh at CRW...He told me about an MR2 he had for sale...I checked it out, and even with the different color front bumper and its engine on the floor...I knew this was the one...He told me he was planning on dropping in a J-spec motor (I think it is Gen 3) with a US turbo...

So that puts me here...The car will hopefully be done by the middle of next week...And soon...Northern Cali will have another problem child on its hands...

Thanks to Brian (Ncturnal), Josh (mister3), Johnny (Weasy2k), and Turbonatormr2 for helping me out and giving me advice...It's good to know you are in good hands when it comes to something like this...

That's it...Hope to get to know you all soon enough...Can't wait to get my first 2, and truly be part of the club...

gs91turbo2     $ 0.00 I found out that it wasn't a Gen 3 swap, but a JDM Gen 2...Doesn't matter to me...I just want a 2... ...And as far as another turbo...Not for a while...Gotta take care of a few other things before getting around to that....But it will either be a CT-20b or the Street Brawler Kit from KO Racing...I can only imagine the possibilities ...

Josh and I talked again last week, and the car will hopefully be done by Wednesday...

No major plans for it just yet...A few hundred miles of break-in before cranking up the boost...I just plan on getting a TurboXS HPBC, Boost Gauge, Shortshifter, FCD, and Gauge pod for right now...Exhaust and DP will most likely be my next upgrades, along with painting my front bumper ...Oh, and the jump to about 10 or 15 psi...
