MC_fixer09-09-2013, 01:59 AMi didnt get pictures of what i did. but i didnt do nearly as much cutting as the other guy did to his. this was just a single projector with no high beam.

TOOLS NEEDED:
-Philips Srew Driver
-Magnetic Tray, trust me, comes in handy
-10mm Socket
-8mm socket
-Extensions of various sizes
-10mm Wrench with and open end
-14mm Wrench with and open end
-A jack
-Jack stands
-Wheel Chalk or Block

DO NOT FORGET TO UNPLUG YOUR BATTERY WHILE WORKING WITH THE MOTOR!

STEPS TO GETTING IT DONE: for all you smart ones out there. the car must be on a flat surface and off.
1. Turn lights on
2. Unplug your battery
3. Place a chalk or block behind the rear wheels
4. Jack up the car
5. Place it on jack stands
6. Pop and open Frunk or Front Trunk. Whatever floats your boat.
7. Remove the four screws holding the headlight cover in place
-Using the philips screw driver and place them in the magnetic tray
8. Remove the 4 bolts holding the headlight cover on the the housing
-Using the 8mm socket and place them in the magnetic tray
9. Remove headlight buckets
-Using the philips screw driver, losen the screws and wiggle it out. Its going to take some force to get it out.
10. Get under the car
11. Remove the bottom dust covers of the headlights
-Using the extensions, there should be three 10mm screws on each side - passenger and driver
-Place them into the magnetic tray
12. (OPTIONAL) remove the the metal rod connecting the bumper to the chassis for more clearance
13. Remove the 14mm bolt holding the pivoting bracket to the headlight motor
- Place them in the magnetic tray along with the washer
14. The adjustment rods should just pop out along with the plastic mounts
15. Shorten the rods about half an inch
16. Then do this with the pivot bracket
http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a384/kevin_the_yang/lowrisemod_zps6da181a6.png
17. Reassemble the rods and mounts and make sure they are as short as possible when fully assembled
18. Connect the rods and mounts to the pivot bracket
19. Plug the mounts back into the headlight housings
20. Reattach the brackets to motor
21. Plug battery in
22. BE SURE TO INSTALL AND IT UP ON THE OFF POSITION
23. Trial and error time
24. The headlights will not activate at first because the adjustments are at its smallest point
25. Adjust the rod little by little
- You should be able to adjust them by hand.
26. once you get it where you want do steps 1 through 12 in reverse order excluding 9

long story short.. this is what you get

so, i bought these off of ebay
http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a384/kevin_the_yang/IMG_7160_zpsddcd96a4.jpg

Took these out of the 7th gen celica
http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a384/kevin_the_yang/mr2/IMG_5005_zpsff7116bd.jpg

and i ended up with this!

HOPE IT HELPS! A TON OF PEOPLE ARE LOOKING TO DO THIS WITH WRITE UP! Houstons23rd09-09-2013, 04:14 PMDam it came out really good. In the pic it looks like the driver side bulb is kinda green you probably should've gone with a 6k more white. Can you get a close up of the projectors in the housing MC_fixer09-09-2013, 11:44 PMit was just warming up. its actually 6000k 55w.
and sure thing. i will on my next day off. Iroke09-10-2013, 02:00 PMam i the "other guy"? MC_fixer09-10-2013, 02:37 PMhaha yea, i went through your thread. forgot your name though Iroke09-10-2013, 03:24 PMYea I regret getting such deep projectors im vary happy with my led pods ChaksQ09-10-2013, 06:27 PMVery nice! One of the better low rise or projector mods I've seen outside of the Rev6.

Do you mind sharing the brand/model of the housing you used? I'm considering doing something similar on my mkii. I know of a discontinued Piaa light that's similar, but often very expensive for something I'd retrofit. ChaksQ09-10-2013, 06:28 PMVery nice! search this: CHEVROLET 6.5" X 3" DUAL TWO FOG LIGHTS UNIVERSAL CAR TRUCK SUV 4 LIGHTS TOTAL
Chevrolet 6 5" x 3" Dual Two Fog Lights Universal Car Truck SUV 4 Lights Total | eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/CHEVROLET-6-5-X-3-DUAL-TWO-FOG-LIGHTS-UNIVERSAL-CAR-TRUCK-SUV-4-LIGHTS-TOTAL-/111160892331?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19e1b49bab&vxp=mtr)
paid like $40

on the plus side, its actual glass and not plastic like most stuff out there. so, there is no worries about the yellow haze appearing or oxidation.

hope that helps! not s specific brand. i plan on taking off the covers to get shots of what needs/needed to be done. Iroke09-11-2013, 09:02 AMInterested in seeing how the projectors or the leds turned out? p0x1c d15c009-11-2013, 02:58 PMhey mc, where did you get your signals? are they the euro ones, housing and all? or jdm housings/ euro lenses? and what kind of bulbs are in the clear section? MC_fixer09-12-2013, 12:19 AMInterested in seeing how the projectors or the leds turned out?

LEDs sir. the LEDs. they look kinda beastly =]

hey mc, where did you get your signals? are they the euro ones, housing and all? or jdm housings/ euro lenses? and what kind of bulbs are in the clear section?

they are the euro ones - housing and all. as for the lights, i have t10 leds in em.
on a side note, if the jdm housings are like the euros, but all amber, then you can just swap the usdm covers with the euro ones. they are a direct fit.

and chaksq, i believe the mk2s are a bit different to do. not as much metal work to take into account MC_fixer09-12-2013, 12:20 AMInterested in seeing how the projectors or the leds turned out?

I'll pm you my cell later MC_fixer09-13-2013, 05:11 PMalright! here are the pictures of what i did and whatnot.
