View Full Version : Bunch of V6 stuff, TRD charger, stand alone, built engine, Exhaust

Brad Bedell08-05-2013, 02:02 PMI'm not real sure what to ask for this stuff, but I'll put some numbers on here and we can discuss the finer details if necessary.

Keep in mind, this is an improved setup that I won the USCC contest with in 2004. The heads, cams, valves, shimless buckets were all done by Ken after I sold the car in 2004. This engine was featured in the USCC magazines. I'll include a copy of the publication at the time of sale.

1. Built engine: $3500-----**Edit** Sold, deposit paid, more than 10% at this point.

- 1MZ-FE 3.1L Engine (overbore)
- Eagle Rods
- Arias Pistons
- Custom Exhaust Valve and Exhaust Port Job
- Shimless buckets
- Custom Combustion Chamber Work
- Custom Exhaust Cams
- ARP Head and Main studs, Rod Bolts
- Somewhere around 30k miles since it was rebuilt. It was freshened up when Ken sold it with 21k miles on the odometer and it has just at 50k on it now. Always synthetic oils, every 3k or less miles.

- TRD Supercharger Kit setup for a 1mz MR2: **SOLD*

Custom Paint work on the SC
- 4, 5.5, 7 and 9psi Pulley Set
- NX Wet Direct Port 125 Shot
- EGR pipe is included
- Non MR2 buyers, I'll include a virgin TRD bracket. MR2 buyers will get a custom mount for the blower

- Engine Management: $1500

- Autronic SM2 V1.94 and 1.34 chips. 1.94 is installed.
- Autronic CDI (think MSD ignition on steroids)
- Autronic Wideband O2 Sensor looks in good shape.
- 1mz/3mz custom trigger wheel.
- 1mz wiring harness wired to the SM2. You'll have to figure out a few wires, but for the most part it's plug in play.
- Tuned for 9psi blower and 440 CC injectors. I'll verify base fuel pressure.

Exhaust: $1200

- Headers
- y-pipes, Mufflers with cats. (I believe the cats are blown, they were universal cheap ones)
- Photo of exhaust below was from 2009. Exhaust has about 10k miles on it now and isn't quite as pretty.

1. The engine is still in the car and operational. Currently the car isn't good for a test drive as I have it torn apart. But I can start it and make it go vroom vroom.
2. Parts are to be sold in this order:

a. blower (Could be available within about a week of payment)
b. Engine or Autronic. I'll probably only need a couple of weeks, but plan on a month just in case.
c. Exhaust. Once the autronic or engine sells, this is available with a week.

3. If you want to purchase things out of order. I'll take a deposit that is only refundable if I can't fulfill the rest of the items being sold.

4. I want to keep the car operational at the moment until I'm finished with the paint work.

*IF* for some reason someone wants a turn key deal on the whole package installed. Lets discuss it. I'm pretty busy but this would be a big enough of a project for me to justify taking some vacation days from work to make it happen.

And the obligatory crappy iphone picture.

It mounts like this, this was before I added in the last muffler.

Good luck with the Sale. If you get the time though it might be worth while to finish the plans you had for the car and put it up for sale as a complete running car.
I've seen this car in your album as a full yellow car, and then a youtube video of it Two tone with an aeroware lip.
What is looking like Currently in the year of 2013? Brad Bedell08-06-2013, 03:33 PMI'm not selling the 'car'. just the engine bay. canadam08-06-2013, 05:02 PMA bittersweet post!
What's next, Brad? ToyotaFan1308-06-2013, 05:23 PMThat was my next question lol I was reviewing the random USCC MR2 threads. Brad Bedell08-06-2013, 07:23 PMWhat's next? Depends on how much of this stuff you guys buy! Someone really needs to buy the whole package. That way they can have the winning USCC setup. :)

My prices aren't firm above, but I do know what they are worth if someone were to build a car. If someone wanted the whole deal, I'd even include the titanium headers. Though, the stainless ones installed are the last set I've built. They fit far better as I revised them several times prior during my production. canadam08-06-2013, 09:33 PMWould your "turn key" package include the yellow car? I wish I could afford such a cool setup.
Yeah you are selling a running, winning set up, unfortunately most people end up building set ups because no one has that kinda money put back.
I was looking into the blower, but then I need engine management, not sure my rebuilt 1mz would handle more than 6 pounds of boost safely on a basic re-seal.

All in all.. on top of that. I'm still trying to get suspension and tires worked out. I love my 1mz/s54 set up but this would be loads of fun for anyone.
To replicate this build would take so much work and time.
I'm still on the path of piecing a build half this good. I hope you get a solid price out of this stuff. toyonz08-11-2013, 11:43 PMWhat price would you ask for the whole lot? toyonz08-11-2013, 11:50 PMWhat price would you ask for the whole lot?
Can you post last dyno results.
What compression ratio is the 1mzfe? Brad Bedell08-12-2013, 12:27 AMI'll dig through the paperwork of the last results. The last ones I did were at the USCC in 2004. I'm not sure the car has been dyno'd since then or with the heads & cam. I'm pretty sure it's listed up in the dyno records. I'll look.

1mz was 9.0:1 I'm 99% sure the build sheet was with the paperwork on the car, if I it is, I'll scan it in and post it when the paperwork arrives here in the next couple of weeks.

As for the whole lot. I'm not sure. PM me an offer. I'll have to figure out how to ship it to you, but it shouldn't be too hard in this day and age. It'd just be obscene for the plane ticket. toyonz08-12-2013, 11:17 PMDo you know the capacity of the supercharger and the maximum rpm rating as I cannot find that information from TRD? I'm hoping they are about 2.0 litre/rev with a max rpm of about 10,000rpm Brad Bedell08-13-2013, 07:24 AMTRD charger is about 300hp any way you slice it. It's the Eaton M62 with a custom housing. The thing that makes it fun is that it makes max power way down low and stays pretty flat to 7k rpm.

I have a Kenne Bell 2.2l twin screw that I'm going to stick on this motor if it doesn't find a home. It should make the specifications you're talking about. Just to ask Brad the Trd Supercharger with a 4 in pulley with a shot of 125 nos dyno's out about 300whp?
Or without spray the supercharger puts down 300 with a 4 inch pulley? Brad Bedell08-14-2013, 09:24 PM4" pulley will put out about 230hp, maybe less. 4" is larger than the TRD kit ships OEM. look at the MR2 dyno records. I put down 440hp/560ish lbs of torque with a 100 shot. My bad I read your description wrong, and I wasnt thinking clearly. I saw 4psi pulley and thought.. oh means the 4inch.. than I though 5.5inch,up to 9 in.. when your were grouping them by PSI.
My apologies toyonz08-19-2013, 10:55 PMNow your talking. Will the 1MZFE bottom end handle the 500HP @ 25PSI boost all day long or would it just be a 1/4 mile machine? Do you think you can fit the 2.2L supercharger under the bonnet with intercooler in the trunk? Brad Bedell08-23-2013, 01:05 PMI'm not sure if the 1mz would handle 25psi in an endurance race. In fact, I don't think many engines would. If they did, it generally comes with a 7 figure price tag.

I'd imagine with decent fuel, the 1mz would handle that type of punishment for a reasonable amount of time. And yes, I believe I can put the 2.2l SC and still close the bonnet. :)

Supercharger is sold! I know someone wants the autronic stuff. conor08-25-2013, 09:44 PMCrap. Missed the S/C :( 10 years later I'm still kicking myself for not buying the whole car. >_ Dance_Business08-30-2013, 11:27 PMWhat kind of numbers does the N/A built engine put out? Brad Bedell08-30-2013, 11:57 PMProbably less than a stock one. Compression is down a bit from stock (9:1) , valve spring tension is higher, ring tension is higher/etc.

Heads and cams will help a bit, but NA power really isn't what it was built to do. I'd be VERY shocked if it make more than 20hp less than a stock one.

Of course, a stock one would also come apart at 500lbs of torque, this one won't. :) Brad Bedell08-31-2013, 09:25 PMDeposit is paid on the engine.

Updated price on the Autronic. Brad Bedell09-08-2013, 11:08 PMPhotos of the AUtronic and bits as well as the actual exhaust system being sold.
