ECU can be burnt out as long as the connector is in good condition.

I have all the pinouts for both somewhere too if thats the key thing there from ya. They're not to different either, just an extra pin used here and there. I've even pulled the connector from... I think it was a camry, but it worked just fine with the right pinouts. Heck, if you want, I'll even go out to the scrapyard and find an ecu that will fit. Wouldn't be the first time.
