would appreciate some input regarding adding racing stripe or racing stripes. thinking single stripe would work best since our cars are on the smallish side.

open to suggestions, so please feel free to share

also haven't decided where to start on front of car ie from lower all the way to rear deck lid ending before trunks bend or starting from end of hood etc

something similar to this, but in charcoal to match the "r" on front passenger fender. also, would have thinner stripe on outside

or this

this is probably most similar to what i have in mind. but would be one color over entire body instead of different on roof like the mini

i like this set up too

i really like this. where it starts on diffuser & probably not quite as wide center strip w/thinner stripes accenting the sides

alright, probably a pretty good mix of what i'm referring too.

now bring on your ideas :D

dang, didn't realize pics would be so tiny?? click on pics for larger images
just realized they're thumbnails Horacio Vandertitten01-26-2013, 03:55 AMNot sure about those stripes. I think your car looks sweet just the way it is. Maybe just some lightweight aftermarket rims is all it needs. My $0.02. yoshimitsuspeed01-26-2013, 02:52 PMzero omarAW1101-27-2013, 11:49 PMI think one stripe following the lines of one of the headlight covers would be pretty cool. Chris7181001-28-2013, 11:42 PMPersonally I think two stripes on the opposite side of the R would be cool. Like running through the head light, one thinner than the other. Know what I mean? I feel like traditional stripes would be boring since you have that edgy letter on the side lol. 86MR2Nick01-30-2013, 05:54 AMLooks good the way it is. No stripe! Bradmph01-31-2013, 07:25 AM23622 click me!

FLAMES!!! lol arber021401-31-2013, 11:31 AMI think one stripe following the lines of one of the headlight covers would be pretty cool.

This. I have seen a white MR2 with a wide stripe and a thin one right next to it that followed above the drivers head line. It started in the midle of the front bumper and it ended in the middle of the rear one. It looked pretty sick.

The stripes were dark gray AW11onHREs02-06-2013, 12:04 AMI also vote no stripe.

Wasn't even cool in the Fast & Furious movies.

It was popular in the South for a minute, in about 1997. Lots of guys with Sebrings and Sunfires were doing it.

No... just no. ~dodge02-09-2013, 09:42 AMNot sure about those stripes. I think your car looks sweet just the way it is. Maybe just some lightweight aftermarket rims is all it needs. My $0.02.

my rims weigh just over 16 lbs. so already got that covered; appreciate the advice though as it does really matter
cheers

okay, two of ya'll w/the other side stripe/s ie from around headlight to rear deck does seem like a kewler idea. the car does look pretty clean w/out. so think i'll get my wife to photoshop before doing something i might end up regretting.

all input greatly appreciated
cheers. was just chatting w/my vinyl guy & he's rarin' to go :) Chris7181002-09-2013, 01:45 PMOk well if you decide to go with something, please share some photos let us know what you think. ~dodge04-17-2013, 02:12 AMall i've added is another red r where it says mr2 on rear deck lid w/cbr racing 'r' & think the clean all white look alone works well enough. the attention the racing exhaust gets is amazing. as soon as any leos see the montucky plates they don't waste their time pulling me over.

my montana residency & age of car allows straight pipe essentially if w/no cat or any restrictions. car was achieving 29.93 mpg crushing over 80 for a lot of the day. montana speed limit being 80 & in cali 10 over rarely gets looked @ which again is 80. was rolling w/a group of cars for a few hundred miles, but what unreal mpg; eh?

still need to get a sound recording before i repack the pipes
photos to follow. it's a little r, but worth a snap shot Datz04-23-2013, 05:33 PMi was thinking of doing a color scheme like this

one of the better decisions for our little cars
