View Full Version : WTB: Toyota fuel/oil filters for 91 turbo

Cynic05-22-2012, 07:47 PMHello! I was told that there was someone here on the forum who sells packs of fuel/oil filters. I would be very interested in purchasing some. I'm not really sure if fuel filters must be turbo specific (some websites have filters listed as suitable for ALL MKII cars, others have them separated between turbo and NA, and I don't really trust anything on ebay) or not. Well anywho, reply here, PM me, or text me 512-639-2439 (USA only). Thanks!

-Sean Cynic05-23-2012, 02:34 PMStill looking for fuel filters… Toyota dealership wants $40 for it. anbu_yoshi05-23-2012, 02:39 PMLithia? Why do you need fuel filters? That's not a consistant maintenance item. Cynic05-23-2012, 05:45 PMNot a constant maintenance item, but it IS a maintenance item. I've had the car for 5 months, it has 135k miles on it and I have no idea when the last time the fuel filter was replaced, if ever. I'm in the process of tuning it up a bit and replacing parts that may have been neglected. Fuel filter, spark plugs/wires, flushing tranny fluid, replacing hoses, etc. stay sidewayz05-23-2012, 05:52 PMImma keep looking for that thread for you man i know there is a thread that someone sells oil filters by the case

For 35. anbu_yoshi05-23-2012, 05:56 PMSee here's the thing, the fuel filter you just replace once and you're golden for a while.

Here's the other thing, the oil filters could be the US Toyota filters made in Thailand. Those are argubly not so good in comparison to the other toyota filters.

Up to you, but read this and check out Aaron's link:

What he said. I wasn't very clear about specifying that; I just wanted to find the person that sold them. I think I got it taken care of. goopi05-25-2012, 02:49 AMI know that Two's R Us offers a case of oil filters. stay sidewayz05-25-2012, 03:38 AMI saw those but there is a member on here that sells them for 35 but i couldnt find it so twosrus.com isnt a bad idea and sometimes they give you free stuff not often but sometimes te51levin05-25-2012, 12:30 PMWe stock fuel filters and two types of oil filter. Part numbers and discussion of the filters are in this thread:

Please follow the directions in that thread to get prices or place an order. We try not to post prices on forums anymore. If you want a case of oil filters, just specify a quantity of ten.

For 35.I have not seen anyone advertising a case of Toyota oil filters for $35 here. I know what those parts cost, and at $35 per case it's not worth the bother unless the seller was hugely overstocked and had to liquidate a lot of filters very quickly. So if that was a legitimate deal it was most likely a very urgent and very short-lived sale.

That's the biggest reason we don't post prices on forums. It's too tempting for people to refer back to old threads and old prices that are no longer valid. goopi05-25-2012, 12:32 PMI don't see it there anymore either, just this one which is under Celica All Trac ST165 though.:undecided
Toyota 4 Cylinder Oil Filter - CASE!, Twos R Us (http://twosrus.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=313) stay sidewayz05-25-2012, 01:30 PMI couldnt find the thread and trust me ive been looking so it must have just been over stock quick sale but i know ive seen the same guy do it twice in the past year but thats not really constant.
