View Full Version : Thinking about purchasing my friend's V6 Swap...

PETC07-27-2006, 12:31 AMI'm sure some of you have seen it for sale. Full swap with LSD tranny and two of every bolt you need direct from Toyota... he's asking a good price, but I'm still debating between this or a turbo!

Come on V6 guys, convince me. Oteck07-27-2006, 12:34 AMok... your 5sfe is a joke! realy it needs to go. that thing is slowing you down canadam07-27-2006, 12:35 AMdo it. Gairloch07-27-2006, 12:35 AMAssuming it's a 1mz let's see here ...

1. Similar power, more torque
2. Less weight
3. Much simpler motor
4. NO LAG!
5. Able to be extremely unique while still having easy availability of OE parts.

How's that for starters? PHOENIX07-27-2006, 12:36 AMI think what you should personally look at is what you want to do with this car. Do you want it to be a speed demon or a daily driver with a little umff to it? PETC07-27-2006, 02:40 AMI want it to be a jack of all trades, really.

Something I can daily drive without a huge hassle, a car that'll be a kick in the pants when you romp on it, and still be trackable at autox and possibly on a road course. Raptor13x07-27-2006, 06:15 AMV6 phzoinkMKII07-27-2006, 01:35 PM(Jedi mind trick begin) You will buy his car, you want the V6 (jedi mind trick end) Raptor13x07-27-2006, 02:17 PMBuy the V6 and the turbo, give me the V6, and keep the turbo. :D Weasy2k07-27-2006, 02:23 PMV6...that is all Node07-27-2006, 07:33 PMDrive them both side by side and one after the other. See what you like. I prefer the throttle responce of the 6. V6'er07-27-2006, 09:09 PMWho's car is for sale?

Would I have a non-biased opinion to offer you? F--k no! JimKing07-29-2006, 11:40 AMIt's the engine, tranny and a bunch of the goodies needed for the swap, but not a complete car. I already asked about shipping... he wants to sell it locally. Powered by vBulletin® Version 4.2.5 Copyright © 2026 vBulletin Solutions Inc. All rights reserved.
