drye03-29-2012, 07:10 AMAny ideas?

I met a guy while back, and his mr2 had a fuel switch that if someone drove off they would only make it a few feet and it would die out. muffinman03-29-2012, 09:13 AMYou could just do a simple fuel pump kill switch. This way they don't make it anywhere. Even with the fuel pump kill switch it will start for a few seconds before it shuts off. It can also be used for relieving fuel pressure when working on the fuel system. toyotaspeed9003-29-2012, 04:16 PMif I leave for a while and the car is somewhere that I don't trust.... then I will just purposely blow a fuse (out of the car) and then replace it with a good fuse in the car (IE blown fuse in the car). 4Gionz03-30-2012, 12:05 PMif I leave for a while and the car is somewhere that I don't trust.... then I will just purposely blow a fuse (out of the car) and then replace it with a good fuse in the car (IE blown fuse in the car).

Double post 4Gionz03-30-2012, 12:06 PMif I leave for a while and the car is somewhere that I don't trust.... then I will just purposely blow a fuse (out of the car) and then replace it with a good fuse in the car (IE blown fuse in the car).

Why not just remove and replace the fuse? I'm not critisizing I'm just wondering why you would. Blow up and put a new one instead of removing it? nissky03-30-2012, 12:37 PMCause its easier for thief to spot a missing fuse instead if a blown one? Tempast03-30-2012, 06:13 PMHe probably carries the blown fuse in the car, then swaps it with the good one and carries the good one with him until he get back. toyotaspeed9004-02-2012, 02:43 PMThe stock fuse box has a spot on the cover to hold spare fuses. The bad fuse goes there when not in use and when in use, the good one goes there. I usually use a fuse that's difficult to see that the fuse it blown or not without actually removing it. Everything is in place, engine cranks, but it just never starts. BlackWidowMR204-03-2012, 10:38 AMGood idea. I heard that those NRA window decals work to help deter theft as well :D Powered by vBulletin® Version 4.2.5 Copyright © 2026 vBulletin Solutions Inc. All rights reserved.
