View Full Version : How much are TRD widebody kits?

ju5tchi11in03-22-2012, 02:14 AMHow much are used kits going for these days? I'm trying to price one and see if it's worth it to pick up the spare kit might be cheaper or easier than repairing my current one.

TRD replica kit maybe full kit:

Front bumper
Front fenders
Side skirts
Rear quarter panels
Rear bumper
Rear wing phzoinkMKII03-22-2012, 06:05 AMYou will probably only find the replica kits at this point and they run anywhere from 1k-2k. An authentic kit, if someone were willing to sell theirs, would cost you minimum of 8k. ju5tchi11in03-22-2012, 09:45 AMNot bad then depending on the condition of this replica kit would cost $500 pick up maybe get it lower, and about 60 truck rental (uhaul) 100 gas. kakucaekz03-22-2012, 11:47 PMKeep in mind you get what you pay for. Replicas are often ill-fitting and you need to do some body work (filling and/or sanding) if you wanna make it look right. ju5tchi11in03-23-2012, 12:02 AMYeah the guy said it will need some cutting sanding to work. Might still be cheaper than repairing the current one before paint.

Just thinking ahead at the moment for Stage 2 of my project.

He is all the way up in stockton, CA when I'm down in Los Angeles, CA

Might not need it but they are harder to come by, unless you just get a new one which seems like the price is around 2k from an easy google search. Didn't dig to much into the pricing yet. kakucaekz03-23-2012, 12:38 AMI just happened to come across this thread on the OC: MR2 Owners Club Message Board (http://mr2oc.com/showthread.php?t=443503)

They guy is selling his TRD widebody kit - I'm assuming it's a replica - for $450. He's in San Diego, dunno if you wanna go all that way. Looks decent though, from the picture.

That's actually closer and looks like the most major fitment has been done. Powered by vBulletin® Version 4.2.5 Copyright © 2026 vBulletin Solutions Inc. All rights reserved.
