Mancco03-14-2012, 03:09 PMMy friend and I were disputing over this and although Kouki has more than one meaning it looks like it's mostly referred to 240s and that whole chuki & zenki scene. I thought thiat they were called so because of their upgraded face lift on the tails from 94+. I wanted to see if any of you guys could shed some more light on this or provide a link if it has already been covered.

s14 had zenki (95-96) and kouki model (97-98)

No, kouki is not a style. Zenki and Kouki loosely translate from Japanese as 'early period' and 'late period'. (More rigidly they translate to 'first term' and 'second half')

You could say that pre 93 mr2 suspension is the zenki suspesnion and 93+ is kouki suspesion. It doesn't really have to do with design style. We do have zenki tails... 91-93

kouki tails are 94+
