View Full Version : For Sale: 1987 Red MR2 NA - Sunroof

Boomertwo03-02-2012, 06:17 PMIt's no longer for sale since I've decided just to keep the car. Read my latest post for more info. Boomertwo03-02-2012, 06:22 PMHere are the 2 pictures I have currently of the car as of 1 year ago. It was nice and shiny then but the paint is now faded a a bit.

I will try to get more recent pictures ASAP over this weekend and post them next week. Boomertwo03-02-2012, 08:36 PMHere is the detailed section of the autocheck report. Sadly the first one I uploaded got reduce to 240x240 which is was so small that it was wasn't readable.

My spelling and grammar is horrible which I'm quite aware of it. I've been going through and updating my posts by fixing mistakes an adding more information about the car. Boomertwo03-10-2012, 12:23 PMSorry guys I have been very busy lately as I have been going to dealerships for the last 5 days and trying to find the right car that I wanted.

I've been thinking about the MR2 and what I want to do with it. I think I want to just hold on to it and fix it later down the road. In it's current condition no one is going to take it unless it's free. I didn't want to trick anyone into buying this broken car which is why I was being completely honest about what was wrong with it.

Would Mod/Admin lock this thread and change the title of the thread to "Not for Sale Anymore" or something along those lines? givette04-15-2012, 03:12 PMGivette here. I didn't catch the original post, but you said it's a 'broken car'.

Now, with that said, I have a 4AGELC engine and '52' 5-speed transmission sitting on blocks.

The engine/trans is a complete rebuild, and needs a new home! My '87 MR2 has rusted out hard-points, and can not be repaired. I need a new body!

So, is the broken part you are refering to the powertrain? If so, I have one, and want your car!

I also will be re-doing my '87 MR2's suspension swap over to yours..

Important point: the shock towers and control-arm bushing mounting hard-points need to show no evidence of rust.

You've got a broken car on your hands, and I've got the fix. Direct part-for-part swap-out from my '87 MR2.

What say ye? Thanks, Joe (givette1265@yahoo.com) Powered by vBulletin® Version 4.2.5 Copyright © 2026 vBulletin Solutions Inc. All rights reserved.
