jo3y5o402-21-2012, 12:00 AMSo lets just say you just bought a car that had a front license plate mounted and your state didn't require one. What would you guys prefer to do because of the two holes in the bumper?

I mean,
(1) I suppose you can also just remove the license and leave the bracket on the car even though it might not look clean unless the brackets black and you have some black on your car to match it.
(2)You can remove the front license plate bracket but that would leave two noticeable holes in your front bumper.
(3) You can just plug up the holes with your existing bolt and or buy license plate plugs but that still wouldnt give the bumper a clean flat surface.
(4) You can just get duplicate license plate or one of those jdm ebay "sw-20"(ricer?) plates and make use of the bracket even though you dont need a front licenses plate.

So what do you guys prefer?
I just left my bracket on and resprayed it and the bolts/screws black to match my black car. To me, the bracket alone looks incomplete unelss it blended into the car well like the color black RePete02-21-2012, 12:05 AM(5) Buy a new bumper cover. I live in a State that you legally must have a front plate.

I feel that really compromises the look of the MR2. So 99% of the time I leave it off.

The only time I need a front plate is when I park in Downtown Portland at the parking meters. They recently put in photo-radar in intersections, and they need to flash the plate for miscreants...
...so what I did is put electrical tape on top and bottom end of my plate (only to protect from scratching my inner bumper, and then statically place the plate on the upper/lower part of the inner bumper. It holds OK without any zip-ties or such.

Just have to remember to remove it when I leave town....
