ebarcus01-28-2012, 01:55 AMtitle says it all, pref to have someone from the seattle area able to meet up tomorrow and pawn off the fore-mentioned parts as the list below also has :P

Heater/AC control unit from an mk1b (Will a mk1a work?)
Heater core is secondary, I'd like to test with the head unit first and but would prob pick one up for the part :D

Willing to drive anywhere in the PNW if you get to me by noon Id come to Portland! Just fixed my ttops and want to get the rest of my "safety" concerns out of the way.

also looking for those control arms or any other wiper related goods mr2tim01-28-2012, 03:06 PMThe A and B series of Temperature Control Modules are not interchangeable.

Sent PM relavent to all the parts you mentioned.

Might suggest you address the heater switch/lever operation located on the front trunk inner firewall (behind heater) before you throw all these parts at a problem you are unsure of the cause.

If this switch/lever is locked or frozen shut none of the parts you mentioned as a cure will work and you will have wasted many $'s.

Here is a picture selection of the various switches you may see in your car which I have available if you need.

Last night I got the AC and defrost working so I can safely drive, still haven't tested the heater, have no switch, was starting at the schematic last night debating tapping some lines but ran out of time.

Know a way to test the heater without the controls? ebarcus01-29-2012, 03:49 PMfound this switch, it moves freely, should be ok correct? oddly enough there are two random wires coming out of the firewall at this point, going to hook up a volt meter and see what they are doing at the moment ebarcus01-29-2012, 06:32 PM*bump for the next two days I will be off and combing the PNW for these parts Powered by vBulletin® Version 4.2.5 Copyright © 2026 vBulletin Solutions Inc.
