View Full Version : ebay clear bumper lights ('91-'95)

zimm01-21-2012, 04:34 PMI've been reading posts and trying to figure out which route to go with clear bumper lights. I hope to eventually get JDM smooth front moldings to replace the corners, but for now, I may just tint them with Niteshades, then use satin clearcoat to blend with my other matte finish molding. I noticed that JDM clear bumper lights have bulb sockets in their "pop out" lenses. Those are for our (U.S.) cars' corner bulbs, correct? Do the ebay clear bumper lights have sockets in their "pop out" lenses?

Thanks,
zimm zimm01-27-2012, 06:50 PMThe clear lenses look and fit great, but there are no bulb sockets for the "pop out" lenses. RePete01-27-2012, 08:44 PMYeah, that's a reflector. I think what the eBay guys had in mind was designing their clear corner version to go with either their clear side markers or the OEM amber units - but not the solid side markers.

Hardtop202-03-2012, 11:40 AMsame thing RePete02-03-2012, 02:03 PMWith one huge difference: price. The eBay lights are $40 something and EMS have the identical lights for over $100. For under $80 you can get all 4 pieces above. lessthankeevin02-03-2012, 11:36 PMBadass, thanks guys, figured it'd be one of those "ebay fitment" issues vendetta02-04-2012, 11:03 AMi just got a set of these, installed them, and they' fit / look fine. The Architek02-04-2012, 11:12 AMi wish they make amber lense, with diamond cut housing Hardtop202-04-2012, 11:33 PMyou can always add orange vinyl tint to them kakucaekz02-05-2012, 01:49 AMI'm the opposite, I wish they made OEM style clear side markers xD The Architek02-05-2012, 02:10 AMhumm i guess i never thought of that dreloc02-06-2012, 07:46 PMI just bought these off ebay but for some reason driver side didn't fit right looks like you have to force it in there and screw it in to the bumper where the square hole is. Passenger side is fine weird:confused: kakucaekz02-06-2012, 11:33 PMIf you're looking for help, pics would help a lot lol. dreloc02-07-2012, 03:30 AMI'll take one tomorrow thanks:D nocashrider02-07-2012, 05:51 AMfyi Option Racing - Toyota MR2 Message Board (http://mr2.zhutiblog.com/com/forums/option-racing/) this sponser has these in clear and black and will price match if you find an ebay set cheaper and they are awesome to work with PHOENIX06-30-2012, 03:51 AMI am on my third set with the ebay style though :(

The reflectors pop easy (I have an aftermarket bumper) and I can't find a replacement for them. The last set I drilled holes into my bumper and put screws into the reflectors to keep them in.

One still popped out :( nocashrider06-30-2012, 06:36 PMI am on my third set with the ebay style though :(

you still having problems with those?? did the ones you bought from me pop out also? Heytheremr206-30-2012, 07:26 PMWhen I had my mr2, they would always pop out. Sometimes, I would hit a bump and it's come rely pop them out and leave them hanging by the wire :( RePete06-30-2012, 09:11 PMI've had the eBay clears on all 3 of my turbos, never had an issue.
