supraguy@aol11-18-2011, 08:36 PMOkay, nothing major-
Just got tired of my cracked, tired steering wheel hitting me in the legs all the time( i'm 6'2"), so I got a slightly smaller one:

This one's 350mm, and the oem is approximately 380mm. I tried a 320mm, but it was goofy small. This one gives me just a touch more clearance, and it's obviously in better shape than the 26-yr old original. It's a cheapo wheel, but then again, it's a cheapo car.

:) 4agze11-18-2011, 11:33 PMnot too shabby, where did you get it from if you don't mind me asking? supraguy@aol11-19-2011, 11:07 AMEbay.
Paid about $25 for the wheel, and $15 for the hub. palos11-19-2011, 11:32 AMThe steering wheel looks "deep" for lack of a better description. Is it further towards the driver than stock? toyotaspeed9011-19-2011, 01:40 PMthat's because it is a deep wheel..... you can buy them 'flat' which even with a hub extension causes interference with the turn signal cam..... or deep. We had a flat Grant wheel in the 87 and I had to drive it with the highbeams pushed forward for my fingers to (barely) clear the turn signal cam.....

our 86 has a 3" deep wheel like this and it works great. bquick22211-19-2011, 01:56 PMbe careful.........

Fat guy bends fake Nardi steering wheel! - YouTube supraguy@aol11-19-2011, 09:57 PMThe steering wheel looks "deep" for lack of a better description. Is it further towards the driver than stock?

The wheel has a 3 inch dish to it. Add to that the 2.5 inch depth of the hub, and it's just about exactly as deep as stock. The only reason that the stock unit doesn't look so deep is because the horn button is 4inches thick!

Beleive me, I tried a flat wheel first(the 320mm unit), and like toyotaspeed90 said, it interferes with the colum stalks. Personally, I only like deep dish on a pizza, but this'll do, I guess. supraguy@aol11-19-2011, 10:03 PMbe careful.........

Hmm- not exactly the same wheel as the one I have, but I'll have to try that 'gangsta' test on mine now... 4agze11-19-2011, 11:35 PMhahaha great video NikkoNA11-20-2011, 01:16 AMlol nice video, too bad you cant really do a gangsta lean in in an MR2, especially if your 6' 2" rice92303-22-2012, 03:49 PMAny update on the quality of this wheel? I saw the same one with blue stitching on ebay and I'm contemplating on getting one. Any bending of any sort? Warping? Loosening? Deteriorating?
