I've got a coworker with a Camaro SS 6sp with headers, intake and exhaust that wants to run my mr2. It's a gen3 with intake, 3inch downpipe, 3inch exhaust, running 18psi and upgraded intercooler.

What do you think my odds are? I'm thinking that even at probably upper 400hp range his car still weighs 3800lbs and I'm likely not much beyond 2800lbs if that.

Anyone raced a newer SS stock or not? goopi10-20-2011, 10:37 PMYou're pushing roughly 300whp?

According to this calculator, you'll win but I punched in 440 hp for the SS, the V8 will probably beat you due to low end torque.

Hey, its a lot to do with who the driver is too, you never know what will happen until you guys go at it!

gen3 or gen2 engine? Mods? Just wondering what you had as far as power adders.

As to the calculator, I don't trust em just do to the amount of factors, street conditions, as you said driver and so on. I was kinda curious if anyone had actually run one.

We talked about seeing if any of the drag strips are still doing runs over here. Otherwise I'll have to convince him to go out to the "unofficial" drag strip. He works part time in a chevy tuning shop, so he's pretty knowledgeable about them as well. Had a pretty built cobalt SS before getting this.

Gen 2. Not really a beast pretty much stock
Just simple bolt ons.
Map ECU piggy back Fuel management
