Gomennasai10-02-2011, 06:43 PMDid some digging and I see Two offers the typical area for rusting on the 1989 MR2 Quarter Panels in the rear and lip well, but Toyota MR2 (http://www.alfaparts.net/mr2.html) offers a entire skin. Was hoping someone might have any info, or know someone that has used the wolf, or just stick with the Two's 3 piece?

The front bumper I have has some peel at the very top which I suppose would be repairable, but not totally sexy looking, but the main issue is the Lip at the bottom, and the OEM Grille piece cracked, and was hoping to find a bolt on OEM Bumper? Aftermarket, whatever ... just as long as its made to spec.

Lastly I was hoping to take from someones experience and recommendation on what type of Black Paint / Gloss / Primer, etc on repainting the moldings around the door areas, and wiper arms that aren't black plastic? Specific color code, etc?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

FYI I have a 1989 MR2 non Super Charged w-Sunroof dragraceman2110-05-2011, 05:25 AMWell the extent of your rust issues will kind of dictate how much you have to replace, the big thing is to make sure you get ALL the rust out, its like cancer, if you dont get it all it will come back and probably be worse. I just have a small spot on both rear wheel arches, so im getting the re-popped arches from twosrus and that should take care of my car.

As far as the trim goes you want to go to a automotive paint store and get a couple of cans of "trim black" its a semi-gloss designed just for that, the most important part of that job is to make sure you prep your mouldings correctly before painting them. You might ask at the paint store what they recomend for a primer coat, they can probably fix you right up good luck. Powered by vBulletin® Version 4.2.5 Copyright © 2026 vBulletin Solutions Inc.
