The Paul Revere Ride (MidNight Drive and feast at the IHOP)= Instead of the regular monthly meet for July on Sunday the 16th. Have the PRR on Friday night July 15th. Meet at the IHOP, at Wolfchase, AT 11pm. Discuss the "route" to take on the drive and the RULES, then leave out for the drive at Midnight. Return to the IHOP and EAT! More info to come shortly!

The fund raising MSMOC 1st Annual Scavenger Hunt= Saturday September 16th (my pic) or Saturday, September 9th! Start it, say around 1 or 2 pm from the Sonic on Hwy 70 (regular monthly meet location) and leave out. Give everyone who PAYS to participate about 4-5 hours to get a pic of all the "ITEMS" they can from the list and return to the Sonic (or some other location if you wish- BUT remember that this Sonic has the covered pic-nic tables, & we can reserve them) for supper and the "AWARDS" (aka $$$). Look for a sepearte post soon on the rules and details of the Scavenger Hunt (YES, I changed it from a poker run to Scavenger Hunt--it is easier to give "items" a POINT value than a "card" value... makes it easier for me). Funds go to pay for our web site and forum and pay for everything for the Free Show-N-Shine (next paragraph).

The 2nd Annual MSMOC FREE Show-N-Shine= Saturday, October 14th! (or maybe Saturday, November 11th or 18th--BUT weather might be rainy by then) This will give me time to use the money from the SH to purchase tropheys and food and stuff for the Show-N-Shine. I think this year I will make it again FREE to ALL MR2's that show up. AND... FREE for any other cars if the folks show up to help with set up AND bring a FOOD dish or DRINKS (again we will keep ALL events family friendly and say NO ALCOHOL). Hopefully we will get a good turnout for the SH and have money for tropheys in a bunch of categories and for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places (including--other than MR2's like the Open Class again). Hope to have it at a COVERED pic-nic area at Shelby Farms again like the last time (but try to get the back one that has the big parking lot by the lake--now that I know I can RESERVE it!). So, look for another seperate post for the Show-N-Shine details and rules.

Hoping to get the Talledega Gran Prix Racetrack for a Track Day on these dates= Monday, September 25th or Monday October 2nd. Speak out on which day you like best. Eric is taking care of this event. I personally like the Sept. 25th date best. As last year (if this happens) we would leave Memphis caravan style on Sunday evening and spend the night at a hotel that is just down the highway from TGPR. Get up Monday morning, eat breakfast, drive to the track, then set up the cars, go over the rules, and start lapping the track. Look for another post on this as well. This event will PROBABLY be kept to 10-12 cars with MSMOC members getting first pick (but we have ALWAYS needed extra folks to make a 10-12 car field... and DougyD19 already has his request in).

So, here is everything for now that I can think of. I know that the SH, Track Day, and Show-N-Shine dates are pretty close to each other. But, for weather conditions and to give people a chance to PLAN to attend, kind of puts these events close together. But, I think it will work out GREAT! Also, some of the dates could be changed to the next Saturday or SO, if needed.

BUT, PLEASE if you have any suggestions or ideas POST UP!
