doper06-04-2011, 04:25 PMThis is something I've been wondering about for a while, it just seems like all the turbos out there are extremely inconsistent with their labeling. Maybe something to do with production dates/options, or are there really just that many swaps/debadged deuces out there? I know that my 91 doesn't have either emblem (and its an original turbo), but it was also painted by the previous owner, so I'll probably never know.

So did not all factory turbos come badged, or am I just crazy? RePete06-04-2011, 06:28 PMTrunk lids are a heavily traded/modified commodity in the SW20 world because of the wing versions between years. If I had a nickel for the number of times I saw an eBay TRD emblem on the trunk lid instead of Toyota, I could retire early.

Every unmolested factory turbo I've seen in every club meet here & in the States has been badged with Toyota on the left and turbo on the right looking from the back of the car at the trunk lid. The JDMs and/or European versions had other emblems like G, GT, GTS or G-Limited depending on their trim level. If they're missing or altered, it's custom. These emblems are as easy to remove as getting a piece of string and flossing it through the 20 year old glue.
