View Full Version : Cat Back Exhaust System??

J-Ray06-02-2011, 12:26 PMDoes anyone like the Cat Back Exhaust system installed on a 1991 MR2 N/A? I've been listening to some that have been installed and I like the sound, but I'm not sure the best place to buy the system. Does anyone know where I can go?

I found this site but it seems fishy :undecided, what do you think?

Toyota Performance Racing Products for International Sales from SSAutochrome Inc. (http://www.ssautochrome.com/level.itml/icOid/1484) necolorado06-03-2011, 09:09 AMthis is posted in the body kits and exterior modifications area, might want to try the performance section for more answers. why does that site seem fishy? z Ice Dragon z06-03-2011, 10:09 AMYou prolly wanna look here (http://mr2.zhutiblog.com/com/forums/non-turbo-engine-talk-modifications-swaps/) for info on N/A exhausts. I have a turbo, so I cna't speak on behalf of any of it.

What I can say, is I've heard some pretty bad things outta that company. It's best if you go through the vendors section on the site, and look to see what they have to offer. If you want a good exhaust I suggest going to EMSPowered (www.emspowered.com) J-Ray06-04-2011, 12:14 AMthis is posted in the body kits and exterior modifications area, might want to try the performance section for more answers. why does that site seem fishy?

Thank you necolorado....wasn't quite sure which section to post the thread :undecided The site just seems fake for some reason....unprofessional you could say? I just wanted some others opinions before I started spending any real money. :) necolorado06-06-2011, 10:09 AMyou can always go with a custom exhaust, It really isn't too hard if you weld or know someone who does, then just use a real muffler(none of that ebay rice stuff :)) that's what I did. As for bolt ons, a buddy of mine has a single tipped apexi n1 I believe, It's really loud, but then again he has a 2.2 NA engine that is boosted with the 3sgte parts. I think it is too loud but it is an all performance car so I guess it works. I have a pacesetter with custom catback I welded up and it is really quiet at idle and just a little throatier than stock. I like it, but my engine needs a tune so I can't say I have heard the full effect of it. Powered by vBulletin® Version 4.2.5 Copyright © 2026 vBulletin Solutions Inc. All rights reserved.
