no..you have to cut alittle bit of the oem parts off to make it fit. then, you have to glue it on. it's pretty easy. Hmm, I may or may not do that one. It looks better, but I'd be worried the plastic isn't as strong, plus the point where it mounts to the door is a lot further forward. How did that affect opening, etc?

Also, did you get the original pieces you posted from a wrecking yard or the dealership? Do you happen to have the part numbers handy? Yeah, P/N for all the door mod parts except the sills. I should have the JDM SS Sill P/N.

Post up a pic of the IS300 door part when you get it. Also, what's the diff between and IS300 CC wheel back and a Corolla S/Celica/MR-S CC Wheel Back? It has a slight curve to go along the door swing compared to original and the pin/bracket on the tip needs to be removed

You seem fairly OCD so I doubt that. Just wondering what your process was and how you are preventing the potential of someone hopping in and taking off.

Im not too happy about the push start (no remote start) and the fact it's easy to bypass if you know what to cut off... I've remove the cylinder completely since i'll be using the power telescopic column which in no way will line up to the stock key hole.

But all in all i have a 2nd defense to theft which is the stock v6 immobilizer. if i pull the key off the transponder the car is not going anywhere.

Regarding starting in gear, its not possible to do that. there are no way to tell it's in gea except the reverse (back up sw). I wired it so you still have to press the clutch to get it to start. anbu_yoshi01-25-2012, 12:32 PMAh yes, the transponder and immobilizer.

Also requiring the clutch is very smart. My old acura went through my parent's garage twice when I was in high school from accidental motor start. I had a faulty ebrake and teenage boys are too stupid to think of these things.

Thanks for Sharing the awesome find! Love how it looks! I have an extra drivers side handle because the front pass side door was missing when I went to my local u-pull it. I bought the extra to practice dismantling and don't need it anymore. yes.. well. I got the lock washer pulled off. But the pin will not come out.. I took a small flat end screwdriver and tryed prying it out. .but its not budging.. I figured it out over the weekend. Got one side done, and just took a hammer and tapped on the pin, came right out. I didn't bother putting that locking washer back on b/c I have to take a hammer to get that pin out. So, it's not moving. I did have a problem getting that screw back in that holds the cup to the door. It looked like it was lining up, but wouldn't grab ,but I finally got it. You can get it at harbor freight for $5 and it comes with bits.

You put the driver on the screw and pound it with a hammer. It converts the force of the hammer into twist motion to remove the screw. WestSide5003-01-2013, 07:25 PMJust thought I'd post an alternative to the previous methods of removing those striker screws in case you were lacking the equipment or none of the methods listed above were working for you (as it did me). After trying the conventional way, finger socket adapter, and impact driver all to no avail, I finally got them out using a screwdriver with a clamp. Just clamped onto the screwdriver, put force on it and used the clamp to twist. Came off super easy
