Toysrme05-22-2006, 07:34 PMCenterfugally blown C4 Vette
VS
*Completely* built (around 15-20usd grand) '94 v6 1mz-fe (still 3.0L boosting on 10.2:1 CR!) Camry. GT40/88 @ 12psi (392fwhp - 501bhp), 4500rpm stall T/C, Fully IPT built transmission. Everything on the car changed, everything about it custom (Tony & his brother own a Custom performance shop in Canada.) The Biggest, Baddest Camry/ES/Windom on the planet.

If anyone has never believed me that until you hit *insane* power levels - FWD = RWD *when* given the same supporting mods (LSD/differential geometry, suspension geometry). This is a great example of that! :)

For anyone wondering, The weight should be within a hundred pounds, or so.
The Aero cd is the same, with the vette having a smaller frontal section (around 19.4^2ft VS 22.7^2ft)

Runs are 0-130mph & 0-124mph.
'nuff talk, more video! (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6433420720006317074) Raptor13x05-22-2006, 08:33 PMI'm not entirely sure why you'd do that to a Camry, but nice kill nonetheless, lol. Oteck05-22-2006, 08:43 PMnice, too bad i don't like street racing Just Wong It05-22-2006, 08:48 PMdang.. that was a nice kill never thought that would happen.. big time sleeper Gairloch05-22-2006, 08:52 PMnice, too bad i don't like street racing

^ x2. Take it to the track and don't endanger innocents. Raptor13x05-22-2006, 08:54 PMThe amount of people killed or injured by street racers each year is incredibly small. On an open road, it's at most a minor risk. TomsMR205-22-2006, 08:58 PMwas the C4 pushing like 2psi? conor05-22-2006, 10:33 PMImpressive Camry! Looks like it has weird shift issues, though?

Yup!

But that doesn't mean it's okay for an idiot in a turbo'd Camry and his buddy in a supercharged Crapvette to be blowing by someone in the family sedan at 130mph on a city street.

If you're going to street race, take it to where there's no traffic, that way the only person who gets hurt are the dorks doing the racing. michaelmr205-22-2006, 10:38 PMblown corvette...like a blown engine...as in not working right?

that doesnt seem possible to me. That camry should be Very Very Very famous by now. canadam05-22-2006, 11:45 PMIn the absence of street racing, the number of people killed by the activity would be zero.

A warning to Conor: it's just not worth it :)

It is possible and Tony's car IS quite famous. This video is obviously of rhe fresh rebuild. That car has been a running project for several years. His most recent engine blow took the car off the road for a few months while he installed forged internals and an upgraded valve body for the transmission.

You will see that car in some magazines very soon :D Weasy2k05-23-2006, 02:07 PMImpressive Camry! Looks like it has weird shift issues, though?
