View Full Version : stereo connectors... how many?

scottohno03-06-2011, 10:47 PMi found 2 stereo connectors inside my dash. are there any more i need? i would go digging for the antenna, but its in the trunk, as is all the wire so im going to use an old trick of mine.

will i need to wire in additional power supplies for an aftermarket radio? muffinman03-07-2011, 11:22 AM87-89 had two. the main with something like 7 or 8 wires and the square rear speaker one with 4 wires. No additional wiring is needed for aftermarket HU. scottohno03-07-2011, 02:32 PMThanks. My 86 didn't have any at all. Lol muffinman03-07-2011, 02:35 PMActually there's that single plug for constant 12v (yellow memory wire). Oops :D scottohno03-07-2011, 02:37 PMSo 3 total? I found 2... looks like I got more digging to do... muffinman03-07-2011, 02:38 PMGive me a second and I'll find the pic. scottohno03-07-2011, 02:42 PMOk thanks muff muffinman03-07-2011, 02:53 PMYou should have these plus the 4 wire for rear speakers. I just crimped a flat spade connector on the yellow from my HU and it works perfect with the single connector.
