View Full Version : Front bumper questions

GoodSpeed15004-28-2006, 11:42 AMIm pretty close to purchasing an 91 MR2. It was in a ten mile an hour front crash with some other car. The bumper looks as if it has been pushed up a bit, so i would like to get it fixed when i get it.

My question too you.

Is there a nice front bumper that looks good with the stock body?
- Also keep in mind i might get the toms side skirts later on.
And when you post on this, can you add a picture, so I can see it, or at least a link to one. Thanks!

From what I know they normally come in white, and since I dont want to drive a car with a white front bumper, while the rest of the car is black, id like to spray paint it black, just to somewhat match the cars already not-so-go-looking paint job. And of course ill be getting it painted by sometime late next year.

My question too you.

Is there a feasible way spray it black then a year later get it professionally painted?

Id also like to add: I have no experience with bodykits

And for picture sake, this is my current car: 86 MK1 N/A

As far as body kits go you can take a look at www.MR-2.com which will show you about 98% of every kit made. GoodSpeed15004-28-2006, 11:59 AMThat's a really nice MK1 you have there. Thanks, ill take a look at that.

Just to add, ill be trading my MK1 + cash for the MK2.....:undecided

And if the deal goes though it will be like selling my MK1 for 1k, :( ween19104-28-2006, 12:01 PMim not a huge fan of aftermarket front with no side skirts, but in your situation, id probably go with the tom's front. the fact that you want tom's sides didnt really change my opinion, cause IMO i think the tom's front is the cleanest looking on the market.
