It has custom headers, custom exhaust, Accel dfi gen 7 standalone. Pwr air to water intercooler. fluidyne heatexchanger. The turbo is a modified kkk turbo, i had built for my 3sgte that used to be in the car, i have no clue what the specs were on it but it was supposed to be able to put out 500hp. the car has 870cc injectors, walbro fuel pump. Right now the boost controller isnt working so we are stuck at 5 psi, but when working hope to put out 10-15 psi. I will post some pictures up of the engine so everyone can see. Also there will be a dyno sheet comming soon for everyone to see.

just so everyone knows there is now a metal box built over the turbo to keep the heat away.

Justin thwam06-04-2006, 05:20 PMWow! Looks nice. Congrats on the kick *** car. I was worried for a bit, because I want to be the first 5VZ turbo swap in FL lol. What power level are you shooting for? What kind of mufflers are you using in your exhaust? Are there any resonators in there? BTW that's a crazy spot for your turbo haha.

Todd justinswidebody06-04-2006, 06:23 PMThanx for the compliment. My power goal is pretty much, how much the motor will handle before something breaks. The exhaust is one that Hux racing has been building for quite some time. There are no resignators, just two magnaflow mufflers. I put the turbo in the trunk because the only other place to put it is where the fuel lines are and i just didnt like it there. Also didnt want to many people knowing it was turboed for when someone ask me to pop the hood. I am hopping to get 350 or higher hp off the stock bootom end but i have a feeling the headgaskets will blow. I cant wait for the car to be done, i am out of town right now working in Tennessee and come back the 18th, so i will get to pick the car up then.

Although It looks like you saved alot of space by chopping off part of the intake manifold and mounting the turbo in the trunk. btw does your setup have an intercooler? Anyhow, cant wait to see the #'s from your setup. justinswidebody06-05-2006, 04:55 PMBy no means does the turbo have to go into the trunk. That is just were i wanted it. I wanted to keep the engine bay empty and not cluttered. There is plenty of room over the tranny like where node puts his. Yes the system is intercooled. If you look in the pic of the turbo, the big round canister is a PWR air to water intercooler wich is pumped by two 20gal per min water pumps, which flows to the front of the car to a fluidyne mustang cobra heat exchanger. I really hope this setup produces some power. I guess when i get home on the 17th or 18th threw the 25th we will find out just how much the 3vz can take. I guess i will be the first to put up a turbo 3vz dyno sheet.

How does the car feel Kenny? i havnt got to ride in it after the tune and all the bugs worked out of it. Whats wrong those stiff struts hurt ur kneck or something? lol, Im only 22 man i dont have the money for softer struts right now. Anyways get on to eric and make sure he is doing a superb job as usuall and tell him to hurry!!!!!!! So yeah tell me how the car feels, the video doesnt show to much.
