STLMR2na05-22-2010, 08:22 PMSo I ordered a set of auto pal housings
and an H4 HID kit off DDM
the kit is 55watt, Hi/lo and 10000k
its not as blue as 35watt 10000k kits, its more like 7000k due to the higher power

the kit cost $70
the housings were $40

I'm installing them as we speak and they are a lot more complicated that the normal HID kit, due to this strange hi/lo function in this kit

so far the only difficult thing is getting them to set perfect in the housings, they want to wiggle a tad, and that is not acceptable...and its pissing me off

will post pics

...but you could put the same projectors in a Rev6 housing as you could in a Pegasus, couldn't you? mr2918005-23-2010, 12:39 AMRev6 all the way baby..... that is where you are entirely wrong, the bulb has directing shield, also the glass angles help big time. And maybe i know how to aim my lights right.. STLMR2na05-23-2010, 01:41 AMyou can't beat a buck40 tho Cleanest Duece05-23-2010, 09:55 AMpictures... STLMR2na05-23-2010, 11:32 PMthat is because i took a picture while in its aim Ninjawagon06-01-2010, 07:50 PMI just recently got a similar setup. I spent a littl bit more. My housing are made of glass. My hids work awesome because of the ballast sheild that they came equipped on the bulbs them selves. So it gives it the proper light cut off much like a projector would.

mine are glass too, and same thing with the shield, i love them, but one of my bulbs or ballasts is messing up, sometimes takes 4 tries to ignite

i not super happy with it all because i had to cut metal pieces to keep the housings from moving, and they had to have multiple things adjusted and bent to keep the bulb still, in the housing

and wiring ballast in an mr2 sucks since there is no access to the tub almost at all Powered by vBulletin® Version 4.2.5 Copyright © 2026 vBulletin Solutions Inc. All rights reserved.
