View Full Version : For Sale: 1989 Supercharged MR2 85K miles. Excellent Condition.

Buellguy9902-04-2010, 04:53 AMI am selling my Dad's MR2 (used to be mine). Its a 1989 Mark I, supercharged blue on blue. The vehicle is in excellent condition for 21 years old. Car was bought in Oregon and has been garaged in Henderson, NV. for most of its life. Little to no rust, the clutch needs to be adjusted and maybe some minor (very minor) work needs to be done to it. I am selling for my Mom because Dad has passed. Email me if interested in purchasing at a resonable price. YellowJacket02-04-2010, 12:35 PMNice. Too bad the interior is blue. eBay David02-04-2010, 02:54 PMVery clean car. Good luck with the sale. :) Buellguy9902-04-2010, 07:03 PMThank you for another site to sell my Dad's MR2. MR2 classified. I plan on listing it in autotrader and if I have to ebay. I was hoping to sell it to an enthusiast first.

Thanks all. nipponaw1102-05-2010, 07:29 PMWhat are you asking for your S/C. NV is a little far... but maybe something could be worked out... Buellguy9902-05-2010, 08:41 PMIn reply to nipponaw11

There is very little if any surface rust. I bought the car in Oregon and Dad bought it off of me and has had it covered in an air conditioned garage in Henderson (Las Vegas), Nevada. It rains all the time in Oregon but they don't use salt for the roads in winter and in Vegas well there isn't just any water for rust to break down the clear coat.

As far as the clutch, it won't disengage until the bottom 2" of travel of the peddle. I am not sure if that’s just a mechanical adjustment or the clutch needs to be bled. I do not think the clutch slips, but I am not a mechanic.

As far as the price I was hoping I would get some offers. There are S/C 1989 MKI's on autotrader/Ebay going for over $6500 and they have more miles then this one. But I was told by a fellow poster that $6500 is not a reasonable asking price.

I plan on listing it soon in autotrader and see what happens.

Michael Ncturnal02-05-2010, 09:22 PMI sold an 89 SC for $6500 a couple of years ago, but the economy was going better then. joserpm02-22-2010, 12:23 AMDo you still have this car? I actually happen to like blue in MK1 MR2s. Buellguy9902-23-2010, 10:34 AMDo you still have this car? I actually happen to like blue in MK1 MR2s.
