View Full Version : What kinds of Group Buys do you guys want?

GReddySetGO03-17-2005, 04:00 AMLets here it guys, what kinda stuff do you guys wanna see. Be specific with part types and/or brand names. GReddySetGO03-20-2005, 09:32 PMNothing? :p Redlyne_mr203-20-2005, 10:46 PMAutopower roll bars, cf t tops. GReddySetGO03-21-2005, 04:17 AMI looked into CF T-tops, but its not doable as we would have to use the stock ones for locking mechanism. Fazed Out03-21-2005, 03:47 PMI'd like a JDM 94+ tails group buy. Those ones on eBay are way off on price and USDM. I want amber corners, dammit! :) Plus, waiting for a black cener panel to show is frusterating.

I missed my chance by a few days on the other board for the last GB. I was pissed. Still have the money for them, though. Anyone else want new tails? Deshi03-22-2005, 01:28 AMget me ST springs danny Just Wong It03-22-2005, 04:32 PMI'd like a JDM 94+ tails group buy. Those ones on eBay are way off on price and USDM. hell yeha i want some tail lights too im in for it  N8s93turbo03-22-2005, 08:39 PMI need some tails and a new exhaust, or atleast a bpipe. Maybe the hks hiper? ToyotaTechGeek03-22-2005, 10:28 PMcouldn't CF t-top panels be made so that the factory glass is removed and the CF is put into place? Tyler H03-23-2005, 01:41 PMAutopower roll bar
Omori 45mm boost gauge
94+ light assemblies, with center panel and lock GReddySetGO03-23-2005, 04:39 PMcouldn't CF t-top panels be made so that the factory glass is removed and the CF is put into place?
Thats exactly how they're made. Deshi03-23-2005, 08:37 PMso I take it you cant get me ST springs Redlyne_mr203-23-2005, 09:44 PMAutpower...Autopower!! Fazed Out03-26-2005, 03:28 AMLooks like 4 people want tails... that's by far the most responces on any one GB idea. Is it do-able? canadam03-26-2005, 04:53 AMI will come up with a group buy price, before shipping, by tomorrow night. RePete03-26-2005, 07:30 PMI'd be interested in the tails if the price was right.

Talk about the law of supply and demand - complete pre '94 tails are going for, like $75.00 or less and they're not a whole lot different (mechanically) other than the separated reverse lights. Guess it's all about bling...

Oh and (this is a long shot) I wouldn't mind a GB on the MKII TRD bushing kit. liquidlimit03-26-2005, 10:36 PMcount me too then.. canadam03-27-2005, 01:50 PMSorry guys, Easter Weekend messed up my plan.

Expect a price sometime this week. blown_mr203-29-2005, 06:06 PMCusco strut braces. GReddySetGO03-29-2005, 07:17 PMCusco strut braces.
$160 a piece. I dunno if I can do a GB on these, I don't know if I can get a lower price on these. blown_mr203-29-2005, 10:41 PM$160 a piece. I dunno if I can do a GB on these, I don't know if I can get a lower price on these.

Are you sure? MVP has them for $157. ;) mr2turbo1203-29-2005, 10:43 PMblitz sbc-r or sbc-id boost controllers. PHOENIX03-30-2005, 11:50 PM94+ tails with center panel and lock cylinder. Fazed Out03-31-2005, 03:11 PMDass' 7 for a tailight GB... I agree it'd be nice to get a lock cylinder, too. I'd rather re-key it than carry yet another key around with me... or tape off a blank hole with electrical tape :)

Think you can pick up a sticker fairly easy tho online. So that's not a biggie. C'mooooon tails! O45 DEUCE03-31-2005, 06:11 PMid probably be in for the tails too Fazed Out04-05-2005, 08:35 PMAnyone willing to take charge of a taillight GB? Got 8 interested parties even without basic info... GReddySetGO04-05-2005, 08:54 PMI might be able to try and get something together, but I'm pretty sure for tails all I could get will be US corners, not the amber ones. canadam04-05-2005, 09:46 PMSorry guys, I've been ultra busy.

I will get information on a taillight group buy based on 15 sets ASAP. Tyler H04-05-2005, 10:27 PMI might be able to try and get something together, but I'm pretty sure for tails all I could get will be US corners, not the amber ones.

I'm in either way. I've got a Gen3 clip, so I don't need a lock cylinder. I also have a really nice 94+ trunk lid for sale (trade.) ;) RePete04-06-2005, 12:10 AM......but I'm pretty sure for tails all I could get will be US corners, not the amber ones.I like those ones better anyway. Everyone seems to be running away from amber with the clear corners and the solid trim piece on the side signals but when it comes to the tails everyone wants amber - go figure. canadam04-06-2005, 01:51 AMI don't think that people want the amber because of the colour, but rather because the amber rear corners flow a lot better than amber, then a red corner.

I too never understood at first, always thinking that I liked red better than amber anyway, but after seeing it, I get why people want amber!

I like those ones better anyway. Everyone seems to be running away from amber with the clear corners and the solid trim piece on the side signals but when it comes to the tails everyone wants amber - go figure. Fazed Out04-06-2005, 03:59 AMI plan on keeping the amber fronts... maybe euro fronts... if I find a sweet deal. As is, I think it flows MUCH better with all that amber in the tail, and seeing it continue on the side marker and fronts. But I don't know anything about style. ;)

Sorry bout being so antsy... I almost wanted to buy them before I got my 2, but decided to put the horse before the cart... like the day after the GB sold out, Bill killed the section and I haven't seen mention of JDM tails yet. Been waiting for my second chance :( O45 DEUCE04-06-2005, 10:42 AMi dont care which tails, whichever one is cheaper canadam04-06-2005, 12:16 PMI have looked into the 94+ Rear Taillights, with USDM corners, and due to our relatively strong Canadian dollar, and the fact that it seems we pay more for our parts at cost, it's going to be very hard for me to beat Conicelli Pricing, but I am trying to see what I can do.

EDIT: I forgot to figure in Tax. Even if I could get the lights at dead cost, I would be at least $25 USD more expensive than Conicelli, not to mention most of you would have to pay customs taxes. RePete04-06-2005, 03:11 PMI don't know about the rest of you Canadians but I'm willing to get my tails delivered just inside the U.S. border and then I'll take them to Canada customs myself and let them sort out what I owe - it's always tons less that way. Fazed Out04-08-2005, 05:33 AMI have looked into the 94+ Rear Taillights, with USDM corners

What about the JDM corners? Do-able? Or are the USDM the closest you can get? Agile04-08-2005, 02:30 PMEibach Sportlines or Tokico Illuminas? Deshi04-08-2005, 08:23 PMTokico Illuminas would be good, but its hard to beat ebay price.

343 plus 15 bucks shipping, just get em there. But if you can beat that price Im down. RePete04-10-2005, 02:24 AM...it's going to be very hard for me to beat Conicelli Pricing, but I am trying to see what I can do.So then we'll be looking at ballparkish CDN$600.00. Sheesh, that's major coinage for a non-performance part. Blasted sexy tails, how dare they entice us like that...

Partznet's price on these tails is increasing about 10% a year. :undecided Fazed Out04-10-2005, 03:07 PMUSDM tails on ebay are around 400 or so... 600 CAD (488 US) is too much for me... I was thinking somewhere between 300-400 for JDM like previous gbs. guess it just doesnt happen anymore. :( GReddySetGO04-14-2005, 05:06 AMI checked on the tails. My price is only a little bit cheaper than Partznet, so I would just get it there. O45 DEUCE04-14-2005, 05:28 PMthe prices for illuminas on ebay have increased, they are all 400 and up, plus shipping Locofrancais MR2Guru04-15-2005, 05:33 PMI am checking on leads for the tails...... Fazed Out04-18-2005, 03:38 AMchecking on JDM tails? If they're JDM and cheaper than eBay... GReddySetGO04-23-2005, 05:27 AMWould anyone be intrested in some CF hoods, or Tein products? I also have a bunch of quick release hubs that I need to move. AndrewMcG04-23-2005, 09:40 PMWhat about 93+ lips? Carbon fiber lips? There is a "group buys wanted" on the other forum and there is alot of interest. Fazed Out04-24-2005, 06:20 PMWould anyone be intrested in some CF hoods?

I'd be up for a cf hood if the price is good, and the quality doesn't suck (would these be like the ones you made before? Heard good things about the fitment) Ncturnal04-24-2005, 07:59 PMI'd be up for a cf hood if the price is good, and the quality doesn't suck (would these be like the ones you made before? Heard good things about the fitment)

I may be in the market for one as well. GReddySetGO04-28-2005, 04:36 PMCF hood up RePete04-30-2005, 06:01 PMWhat about an endlinks GB from twosrus? They're like just under a hundred bucks each set, I'm sure we can talk 'em down a bit with quantity.

I think they're one of the last companies left that actually will make an effort for a decent GB price. Everyone else knocks off a measly $5 for every 20 people added.

**EDIT** Forget it. My mechanic just told me these aren't as good as the hype that precedes them. Powered by vBulletin® Version 4.2.5 Copyright © 2026 vBulletin Solutions Inc. All rights reserved.
