DrakesKakes03-15-2005, 10:15 AMwww.Mr2warehouse.com has OEM stylehoods, they fit beyond perfect....

DrakesKakes03-15-2005, 12:06 PMIm pretty sure hes got a vented one from import fan.... fitment isn;t fantastic... but def worth the $$ MR2T3203-15-2005, 12:17 PMhere's a pic of the vented hood that i'm selling. The price is $360 for local pick up. The hood will be brand new not the one from the pic. Takes 2 to 3 days to get if it's in stock. If it's not in stock it will take about 1 to 2 weeks.

I dunno, I think Pouya just wanted my thread closed in the other forum as he hasn't said anything since. tigerpee03-16-2005, 09:33 AMcan you do another group buy danny or has bill killed that opportunity for you since nothing came out of it? tigerpee03-16-2005, 09:39 AMhere's a pic of the vented hood that i'm selling. hmm...not bad, who makes them MR2T32? MR2T3203-16-2005, 12:11 PMnot sure, i get it from my friend's warehouse. Ncturnal03-16-2005, 12:16 PMcan you do another group buy danny or has bill killed that opportunity for you since nothing came out of it?

All Group Buys on OC are dead. If Danny wishes to conduct a GB here, he may do so. Mister2.203-16-2005, 12:24 PMMR2T32: Can you post a picture with the whole car in it? MR2T3203-16-2005, 04:08 PMhere are a couple pics of the whole hood on the car. Some modification to the latches are needed in order for the hood to fit good.

http://usera.imagecave.com/MR2T32/DSCN2817.JPG GReddySetGO03-16-2005, 04:38 PMSomething did come out of my GB, about 20 hoods :D

I can start another one, but I'm not sure if I want to. There has to be enough intrest for it to make it worth it. 3-4 buyers does not constitute as a GB for a part like this. RePete03-16-2005, 10:48 PMwww.Mr2warehouse.com has OEM stylehoods, they fit beyond perfect....
That looks pretty good but I'd like to see a close up. I've seen dozens of aftermarket carbon fiber hoods but I've yet to see the same fitment as OEM. They're always off... I just went back to the OEM hood. tigerpee03-17-2005, 11:34 AMany reasons why? Ncturnal03-17-2005, 11:44 AMI have too much shit under the hood to be using hood pins. Security mainly. I bought a CF vented hood from GTP/Importfan, but the fitment was like you see in the pics above, and I don't like that. It's ok, and the hood is nice quality, but not something I want to use on the silver car. MR2T3203-18-2005, 03:25 AMthe hood i get is not GTP/Importfan. Thanks :) DrakesKakes03-18-2005, 12:15 PMWhere from? MR2T3203-19-2005, 01:17 PMCarbon EFX. MR.2000GT03-23-2005, 01:04 AMwhy are the hinges sitting on the wiper cowl? just curious.

i sold all of my vented hoods and wont be stocking any more. i may stock some more OEM ones some day because they were so nice (as you can see on drakeskakes mr2), but doubt i will any time soon. GReddySetGO03-23-2005, 04:34 PMwhy are the hinges sitting on the wiper cowl? just curious.
I don't think those are the hinges. Those are the little hooked brackets that go under the stock hood to prevent the stock hood from sliding back and through the windshield in the event of a front end collision.

These hoods probably aren't drilled to accomidate that hook. But I guess its not really necessary for a CF hood since its probably not going to break the windshield like an OEM metal hood will. GReddySetGO03-23-2005, 05:59 PMHeres a review from a local member who just got his hood:

I'll try to post some more pics of my hood when I get the chance to take some, dang rain around here is making it tough :p MR2T3203-23-2005, 11:09 PMyeah the hood i get does not have the holes cut out for those hooks, so i just took them out instead of making the holes. GReddySetGO03-24-2005, 01:53 AMhttp://img2.uploadimages.net/985404DSC06094.JPG .spoolin.03-24-2005, 04:57 AMi want one :( 2NER03-29-2005, 03:01 AMI got mine from ExtremeDimensions.com since my friend's friend is the owner. There are some gaps and it took some modification to make it fit, but for $250, it's not bad at all and I'm happy with it. :)

I'll see if I can put one on tomorrow. MR2T3203-29-2005, 12:07 PM2NER, that's the same hood i get. I'm guessing you're refering to Simon. His the owner. Who's your friend? 2NER03-29-2005, 04:03 PM2NER, that's the same hood i get. I'm guessing you're refering to Simon. His the owner. Who's your friend?
Hmm, I'm not sure of the owner's name since I ordered it through my friend but yeah, I think it was Simon. My friend's name is Sam and they're childhood friends so I was able to get a hookup. It's good to know people and have connections :) GReddySetGO04-04-2005, 04:22 PMHeres some more pics of my hood:

.... but you drive a nice car so I'll let it slide :) GReddySetGO04-05-2005, 02:30 AMThe first pic is actually just a bigger version of the second pic :p

Did you install that IC yet? If so how do you like it? If not, get to it! Hahah, hey leave me a trader rating for that thing too ;) .spoolin.04-05-2005, 11:30 AMoh weird I swore I left you feedback right after I got it, I wonder who I left it for? haha I did now tho anyways :D

ya I installed it and it looks mean! can't wait to drive the car and see the difference... 1 more month..... dammit!!! haha MRQturbo04-06-2005, 07:11 PMi don't see any cut outs for the windshield washer nozzles....are u guys simply not using them anymore with some of these hoods??.... GReddySetGO04-07-2005, 06:19 AMMy Import Fan hood came with holes for the windshield washer nozzles. I really preffer to have the hood w/o it as I don't use them anyway. Which is why I decided to make my hoods w/o them. If you want to incorperate them, you just gotta drill a hole. So at least you have the option instead of being forced to use them. MR2T3204-08-2005, 11:48 PMnope, a lot of people perfer not to have the nozzles. Ncturnal04-10-2005, 01:59 AMnope, a lot of people perfer not to have the nozzles.

Agreed GReddySetGO04-23-2005, 05:25 AMI have 3 of my CF hoods that are blemished. The resin came out foggy and it cannot be fixed. I will sell these as fiberglass hoods, cuz I will sand them so that they can be painted. They are still made of carbon fiber, but they just don't look nice, so you can paint it. Cost is $300.
