como09-09-2009, 10:33 PMSo if any of you have been following, I went ahead and took my entire mk1 apart to paint it.

What I may not have mentioned, is that I've never so much as done an oilchange before... so I'm kinda making this up as I go.

I'll be needing to re-install those little triangle windows soon. What do I use to put them in? It was thick goopy stuff, reminded me of roofing tar. Where can I get it, and what's it called? MRH09-09-2009, 10:38 PMI would assume it is the same stuff that you would use to seal the oil pan. the dealership peeps usually call it Toyota sealant. I could be totally wrong on that one. I would assume it is something similar though.

-H como09-10-2009, 10:08 AMMy friend called it "Elephant snot", and someone else called it some sort of a silicone sealant. Thick, black disgusting stuff. I'll have to ask at napa when I'm there. donnyavery09-10-2009, 05:23 PMits windshield urethane adhesive 3M Urethane Windshield Adhesive , 10.5 fl oz Cartridge (http://www.levineautoparts.com/3murwiad10fl.html)this is all i use at work and never had a window come back(leaking or other) you can get it at a local paint supplier or some time autozone Archidamus-R10-07-2009, 01:49 PMGreat.
