dodgeyaussie07-22-2009, 09:42 PMI need the lower half primarily, but will take the whole thing if needed. 5SFE

Shipped to 94547, or can pick up in the Bay Area

I know this is highly unlikely, but if any one has or knows of someone who has a lower timing cover from a Toyota 5SFE engine, i am in need of one.

Turns out the dumbass mechanic* appears to have not tightened the timing belt tensioner up correctly which resulted in the timing belt sliding toward the cover and wearing a whole straight through the bloody thing. Probably only moments from being totally FUBARED.

I got a replacement top cover from Pick n Pull, but because the crank pulley has to be removed to get the bottom cover off i couldn't get a bottom cover. It's impossible (so far) to remove that bolt off any engine i have found because i can't stop the engine from turning. Argh. Toyota want $60+ for a new one. Eff that.
