View Full Version : What kind of H4 BLUE bulbs?

3sgtepower02-20-2006, 09:22 PMIm looking for a good BLUE H4 Bulb. If you could come up with a price and a link in your post that would be appreciated.

I tried buying the suposed *BLUE* headlamps from autozone, and compared to my OEM headlamp with a blue xenon bulb, they looked yellow. Problem is, one of my Blue bulbs is burnt out, and I wanna find a just as blue, if not bluer match.

I know that the ****K rating stands for blueness, but I cant seem to find a bulb worth buying. Some of them have names Ive never heard of, like Luminics, MTEC, Sportline.

Heres one Im considering because it has a high ****K rating, 8500K. I am unsure of the brand though, looks like it says sportline on the box, and shipped there 25 bucks. Any thoughts, or links to a H4 bulb with a good shade of blue for my headlamp? Not to be a ricer, but I do like the look of blue headlamps over yellow anyday. gsus02-20-2006, 11:44 PMbefore i got my hid kit, i was thinking of getting the PIAA super plasma h4's they are supposed to have a bluish/purplish tint. although some claim that they have more of a purple tint that a blue one.

here's a civic with them

My first set lasted 2 1/2 years with daily driving (majority @ night coming home from work). Even then the low beams still worked. They are all over Ebay, most sellers will offer a lifetime warranty. You just have to ship the burned out bulb back to them. V6'er02-24-2006, 10:04 PMSeverely blue bulbs look like rice boy shit.

Look for some Farenheit H4's, 100W/90W (OEM manufactured by Sylvania). They are very bright and actually put some light on the road, unlike the VERY blue ones. (Filaments burn yellowish anyway, so the blue tint filters out most of the light and all they do is get hot without giving you much light.) Spillane02-24-2006, 10:26 PMHad the blue H4 bulbs on mine when she came in from japan, one went, so I got another set of "blue" ones, and are nowhere near as blue, infact, they're not blue at all! :( They're yellow!

Will be purchasing a set of them so I will...
