I had already ordered all the ball joints, tie rods, and bushings. All i have left is the Tokico Illuminas :D. I also got some 93 swaybars and endlinks but those are free from another mr2 owner :)

unless you have a press....get the torch out. After that...you'll have kids with birth defects and you'll loose half your brain like me  91T_SW2002-09-2006, 11:35 AMunless you have a press....get the torch out. Honestly I just lowered my car and thought I needed a spring compressor.

you don't really need it and its a waste of time....

WHen I got the stock ones out. I just took the impact gun loosened the top nut a little to right where its about to come off. Held the spring and strut with me and my friends foot and hit it with a hammer and it just came off without any real force. This was done on all four corners. Even putting the dropped springs on. I thought I had to compresses but then I didn't. Just have a STRONG friend press his weight down on the spring while holding it still then you just screw on nut till it can bite on the thread. Its actually easier this way cause you can line up the top mount to how it goes onto the car better. AND you can line up the bottom of the spring to make it seat in the proper groove of the strut. 91T_SW2002-09-2006, 11:36 AMCongrats BTW and yes please post pics of the install MR2TRD102-09-2006, 11:57 AMHonestly I just lowered my car and thought I needed a spring compressor.

dude...y did you quote me??? I'm referring to burning out the stock rubber bushings to install the urethane ones. MortICi02-09-2006, 02:47 PMIm doing this at a shop that has all the necessary tools so it 'should' be rather easy. Ill take pics as i go along. There are going to be 3 of us working on it so it's going to fun :). Im ordering the Tokicos most likely in the next weeks so expect a how too in late Feb. :D
