trey01-25-2006, 03:54 AMi have cash and i want to buy a tastefully modded mk1. no neon paint colors, spinners, or stickers in the back window that say "playa," etc. has to be virtually rust free and well maintained--original body parts. doesn't have to be show perfect. sc, 20v, and mk1.5s preferred, but a nice na well modded ok too.

if you have such a car and you want to sell it, let me know. i'm not going to pay an arm and a leg, but i'm not looking for a bargain either. i want the right car and i'll go anywhere in the u.s. to get it. i live in wa state and bought last car in georgia.

for me, the best one i've found was 2 yrs ago in fla. it had been completely redone. they guy wanted 10k, offered him 9. it was a like new 88sc built for racing and was show quality from what i could tell. i was going to get it until the carfax said 220k miles. then there was one in vancouver wa w/ 14k miles that was tastefully modded! sold for 9600.

Good luck with your search 20incher01-27-2006, 09:49 PMhmm i may have what your looking for... 1986 aw11 with 171k on the chassis with a 91 or 92 jdm 4age small port swap- 35k miles, port and polish on the head, fresh cut valves, new valve seals, Decked head by 3 thousandths, HKS metal head gasket, jdm cam gears, jdm high compression pistons (10.3:1), twin spray injectors with catch can, k&n air filter, headers, 2.5" custom y pipe, magnoflow cat's and muffler, whole set of urathane bushings front rear, and steering rack, front and rear sway bars, steel braided brake lines whole set of urathane bushings front, rear, and steering rack, front and rear sway bars, Tokico illumni's, steel braided brake lines and mk3 spyder rims. Now the bad part, The hood, drivers side fender, bumper cover, skirt and lip arent the original ones, i bought the car with it wrecked (i can provide before and after pictures) and replaced all the parts that needed to be replaced for it to looks and be legal. It has current texas tags and a clean title.
