Probably one of the cheapest turbo kits for a medium sized turbo.

Pros: Power output and potential is one of the best out there for a good street car. Power starts at about 3500rpms and full boost by about 4200rpms on stock cams and timing. Since it's the same turbo that ATS produces a kit for, they have rom tunes readily available for both 440's and 550s and for both pump and race gas.

Cons: SS Oil feed line GReddy provides is too large for it's application. Bombarding the turbo with oil will cause premature turbo failure. The oil drain line is rubber and does not have a high resistance to heat, cracks in a matter of time and the hot oil pouring on the hot downpipe can cause a fire. Cast adapter is not port matched to the manifold. Wastegate has been known to creep at low boost levels (under 14psi) in older kits. Although i'm listing this as a con, i'm indifferent towards the issue. The greddy kit is only oil cooled as opposed to being both water and oil-cooled. So the cool down time before turning off the engine is ESSENTIAL, more so than one that is both water and oil cooled like the stock ct26. However, i don't mind waiting (or one could use a turbo timer) so it's not really a con for me, but maybe for others.

Overall: Although it has been known to creep with very free flowing exhausts, the kits being sold as of late has not been seeing any creep issues. Whether GReddy changed to a different wastegate is unknown. This is a great kit only if you can find a good deal on one. By good deal i mean...I paid 900 shipped for my kit that had only 2K miles on it. Outside the oil lines, which are horrible, i love my turbo. If you don't find one for a great price, an ATS kit is a much better option as the ATS kit which has no faults like the greddy.
