AceX08-27-2005, 11:33 PMHey-o,

Spent the last few weekends fitting hinges and painting metal, and here is the end result:

The hinges fit and seal like factory, and the paint looks like it was done by a professional with a spray gun and not some guy in his side yard with a rattle can. I'm pleased with how it turned out. I just have one or two minor things to do before it is all done and I can move on to my body work.

EDIT: I know the paint looks a little messed up; I need to wash it off w/ a sponge, but trust me, it looks dam nice. bmerton08-28-2005, 05:19 AMThe passenger door looks like it's tilted away from the car more than the driver's...do you have some more adjustments to make?

And I like the black frunk with the white car. I've done that, as well, but didn't take the spray can to the entire frunk...just the edges that you can see. It would look like crap if you could see the old, ugly white paint through the vented hood, so it's black, now... i was about to say the same thing. Dennis08-28-2005, 06:38 AMlooks good though.... AceX08-28-2005, 07:26 PMYeah, I took that pic RIGHT AFTER I got the other side on. I actually did a little more adjusting and the problem is fixed now. Both doors are 51-1/2" in the air and 23" from the roof. MR2TRD109-05-2005, 06:37 PMi was about to say the same thing.
you've also got to take into consideration the background playing with your eyes and the pic is not dead on the center of the car. bmerton09-05-2005, 07:04 PMyou've also got to take into consideration the background playing with your eyes and the pic is not dead on the center of the car.
Except for the fact that he admits he took the pic before it was adjusted in the post right before yours and he now has 'em perfect (well, as "perfect" as Lambo doors can be...) I didn't say they weren't off...I just said the background made it hard to see how much they were off. Powered by vBulletin® Version 4.2.5 Copyright © 2026 vBulletin Solutions Inc. All rights reserved.
